MasterShake07
Alright, I'm having a rather odd glitch and I hope you all can help me. Everything was running perfectly then I shut my game off for the night. I went back to it the next day and suddenly female skin textures for some NPCs and my character appear to be missing and they are just showing up as blue. The correct textures show when the body weight is set on the low end, but they disappear when body weight is increased. This also doesn't appear to be race-specific, just weight of any female character and NPC. I don't think it's a mod conflict, since like I said my game was running without issue just two days ago. No changes were made since then. The only thing out of the ordinary that happened yesterday was having to play with steam in offline mode, since my internet connection was out. Any ideas? I'm running on the most recent version of Skyrim with Dawnguard and Hearthfire installed.
cyrus224
Can you post a screenshot? Sometimes those blue textures are placeholders because it can't find enough memory to show all the images on screen.
MasterShake07
Sure, here you go. screenshot 1 Sometimes it will also look more white, depending on the lighting.
cyrus224
hmm, that dosen't look like what I've seen before for a problem with not enough video memory, but I can't say for sure, as its not identical. You'll have to wait for someone else to weigh in on it probobly. I can see a lot of graphic mods it seems, so its possible. It could also be a missing texture, have you removed any mods recently, or made any changes? You could try verifying your game cache on steam to see if its a missing texture. Go to your game library in steam right click Skyrim, go to properties/local files/ and click verify integrity of game cache
MasterShake07
Nope, no mods were added or removed between play sessions. I already checked my cache through steam and it said there were 2 files missing and they were reinstalled. It might be worth noting that I'm using the Ashen race for that character with a customized skin texture, yet other NPCs that aren't attached to that race and texture still have the blue skin. Again, I find it really odd that it seems to be based on character weight. Any NPC that has their weight set on the first two pre-sets are fine, but anything above that and they lose their texture. I'm at a loss. I guess it could be possible I'm running low on VRAM, although I don't see why it would just be starting now after having been working flawlessly for weeks. Here's my PC specs: Intel i5 3570K OC to 4.2 GHz EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB8GB RAM
RozenDoll
that blue color looks awfully like normalmap textures, i'd suggest reinstalling your body mod(s).
ginnyfizz
I'd agree with that, reinstall all body mods and race mods. Your textures are simply not in the right place.
MasterShake07
I fixed it! I had an old backup of my texture folder I threw back in, but I think the actual issue was somehow an old texture replace esp was still active in my mod manager, despite the mod being deleted. I guess it was trying to load textures that no longer existed. Such a silly little oversight. Thanks for the help, everyone. Jogged my mind a bit and caused me to really look at everything. Cheers!

But when i unequip and equip the clothes i get solid textures like blue and red.
Yeffy
i have almost the same thing. When i load up a savegame wearing a mod's cloths i see the textures. But when i unequip and equip the clothes i get solid textures like blue and red. This is still a problem today... I just had to completely wipe my mod list and start over because it wasn't a player texture. Looking back and going through files, I honestly think that it was a house mod (I can't think of the name off hand) but it was definitely not in the right file and NMM put it there.
