JustinWou
Usual stuff like many a Fallout 3/NV player has complained of - stutters and framerate drops in graphics-intensive scenes. And this is despite having system requirements that exceed the recommendations. I've gotten the FONV Stutter Remover, NVSE, Fake Fullscreen and 4GB fix... none of which seemed to work. Game would run smoothly for about 15 - 20 minutes, before suffering a dramatic drop in FPS. (Measuring it using FRAPS shows that it goes from 50-60 FPS to 9-12 FPS after 15 - 20 mins' worth of smooth running) :pinch: My system specs are as follows: Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit)Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 @ 3.4 GHzGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 (2 GB Graphics memory); latest driver installedRAM: 8 GB Given these specs, what would be the recommended settings or tweaks I should run Fallout: New Vegas on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
DizzasterJuice
Try this mod, or you can enter console command "pcb" when it starts getting slow.http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36805
JustinWou
Thanks for the advice. Thing is, I got that mod too. Apparently PCB doesn't seem to take effect immediately though, had to alt + tab out of the program, take a break for a few minutes before the framerate returns to normal. (only for the cycle to repeat itself)
JimboUK
Try this http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45116 I'd also monitor your temps, things can slow down when the GPU/CPU get hot.
