scorpiovaeden
Hi there, I'm hoping that I am posting this in the right place. I have a question about "edit attributes" when setting up a mod description on the nexus. I have noticed that some modders have graphics and pictures added into the description of their mod (not the regular way to add images, but within the text description). When I have been editing attributes/description for my mods, I don't see any options for inserting images and what not. I am wondering, how do I go about inserting images? Do I need to be a premium member to do that, or am I missing something simple?
JimboUK
You use img tags as you would on the forum.
scorpiovaeden
Thanks for the reply. I have never used an img tag before... is it possible to see an example of one?
Hickory
Thanks for the reply. I have never used an img tag before... is it possible to see an example of one? You place the (direct) link to the image inside tags like so (disregard the quotes, which are there so that the board software wont interpret the tag): ["img"]http:\\myimageisheredotcom.com\thisismyimage.jpg["\img"] Note that all tags must be of the syntax [xxx].....[\xxx] Here is a guide to some of the codes used on this board (not all, though):BB Code List
JimboUK
You can use the imageshare to host the images, that way they won't go missing like they do on some sites. Set them as hidden so you don't clutter up the imageshare, you can still embed images when they're hidden.
UrgeNexus
Out of curiosity, do hidden images count towards the 5 a day limit on image uploads?
Hickory
Out of curiosity, do hidden images count towards the 5 a day limit on image uploads? As far as I am aware, yes -- it has to be uploaded, therefore it counts. Imagine people using the Nexus for storing hundreds (or more) images per day. There are other sites tailored to that. Speaking of which, are there any external image hosts that are frowned upon or not allowed? I haven't been able to find any rules on that.

I am not aware of any image hosts that are black listed by the Nexus. I would do your homework, though -- if the image host is known for it's questionable material (hard porn, child porn etc), best to steer clear. Imgur is very convenient but it does have it's share of adult content, I'm not sure if it's possible to stumble upon it without actively seeking it out, but I'll stay on the safe side and make a new photobucket account. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. EDIT: Photobucket has improved a lot since last I used it, seems a good enough choice.
