LargeStyle
Hi all, By the end of the month I'm hoping to release a mod which has taken me about 10 solid months to make. Problem is that I'm wanting a Windows-based installer so that I when the mod is activated in NMM, a proper installer will guide the user through the installation process, and I don't know of an installer creator that will suit my needs. The reason why this is important to me is that my mod will have multiple options to it, so I would like something that can provide selectable options with pictures during the installation process. So does anyone know of any apps that'll do what I need please?
IsharaMeradin
You can create a FOMOD or OMOD file and have NMM guide the user thru the creation process. Going to see if I can find some links to some tutorials. In the meantime feel free to look at the OMOD option on my mod Unique Races to see if this may work for you. The two methods I know of... The more complicated C# route but it does allow you to customize the layout of the presentation, etc...http://zumbs.wordpress.com/2009/11/08/fomm-and-fomods-for-dummies-3/An example of this is A Quality World Map The easier XML route which limits you to a fixed layout of presentationhttp://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44914An example of this is my Unique Races mod Edited November 18, 2012 by IsharaMeradin
LargeStyle
Thank-you IsharaMeradin very much for your help - it is greatly appreciated. It's great to know that this is now an option to me as it'll assist me and my mod no end. I'm busy with other stuff at the moment, but I'll look into your suggestions later today. Thanks again.
