you said that to run a mod i need to have vista runing as a administrato but how do i do that i hask my dad and my uncle but they didnt know how to (im using a laptop)

You are limiting your chances to get an answer :) Although there is no doubt bben46 is very qualified to help in this question he may not be present when the question comes (or even miss the post at all, if too many others push it too far away).

Running as an administrator means using the "Administrator" account or an account with administrative privileges. (Edited the remaining text on this paragraph to remove irrelevant informations)

To create or change accounts Windows have an easy to use feature you may find in the Start menu or in the Control Panel. Just follow the directions there.

Edit (read this first): That "Administrator" user is aways present on every Windows machine.

BTW.. you already knows that password, is the same you must give on the omnipresent boxes asking for privileged access... I was thinking as a XP user :) So maybe isn't even need to login with another account to create or change administratives accounts, just give that password when asked.

But there is something else bben forgot to mention. Vista asks for entering administrator password in some things EVEN when the user is already logged with administrative privileges or 'even' the own administrator... I'll not 'even' try to understand why.

nosisab covered most of this. The administrator account is the top level account that is created by whoever sets up the computer.

The administrator sets up the other accounts (user accounts) and sets their privileges.

Users are usually limited accounts. The administrator can change a user account to give it administrator privileges , essentially unlimited access. However, a user account cannot change themselves to an administrator without the administrator privileges.

There is a password associated with each user. And the Administrator account password is required to sign on as administrator. And also to make some administrator level changes.

Oblivion was written before Vista was released and does not work as well with Vista as with XP.

You will have to find who has the administrator password and ask them to change your user account to give you administrator privileges. As this gives you access to every file on the computer and access to every other user's stuff, they may not want to do this.

Since you posted another thread about the same issue is to suppose you don't understood the answer yet.

Recall all those box on Vista asking for a password? Yes, that is the password for the administrator, so you or one of the computer users know it. If nothing changed in the final release Vista have one entry in the Control Panel called "User Accounts" that is where you can change the privileges of each account or even create a new one. Only than to do so you need be already under an administrative account, or (here is where I'm not sure) under a common user account Vista will prompt you to supply that famous password. That is it, isn't hard to do.

Off topic, but why does your profile say you're 28 years old? And why isn't lying about that grounds for being banned? (Especially since there is adult content on this site.)

HOW CAN I LOGG IN IN THE ADMINISTRATOR OR USE IT OR SOMETHING

Why, just click on the Big Button on the task bar, so go in Log Off --> Switch User --- you will be presented with a box where you enter Administrator into the user field ... and type in the 'same password' you use in those ubiquitous boxes Vista presents the user every time and everywhere that asks for a password (it even says it need administrative privileges to do whatever you are trying to do, such as installing things)

And Myrmaad have a point there

Indeed, if you knows the administrator password all is ok, just go ahead with the instructions above.. else, no one in the forum can help.
