dizietemblesssma
I fear I may have been guilty of unclear thinking; in writing a patch I've noticed that all the objects I wanted to attach the same script to are just the same 'defaultActivateSelfTRIG' with no Reference Editor ID, so I edited the base and this worked for all instances of 'defaultActivateSelfTRIG' in the mod I was patching.BUT, have I also edited any/all other instances of 'defaultActivateSelfTRIG' that a users other mods might have used? IsharaMeradin
If you edited the base object, yes. Editing the base changes that record for every plugin in the game that uses it. Objects can be placed in the render window and not need to be given a specific reference ID. They will continue to use their base object's ID name. For your patch, you need to go through each individually placed instance and add your script.

Yup, that's what I guessed, no shortcuts for me! :)
