KingUggi
Hey there guys, so I am new to SSE and did some research of how to "convert" basic follower mods etc. to special edition with Nif Optimizer. So I tried to port one of my personal follower mods and unfortunately ended up with a follower whose face is completely golden face. Does anyone know what causes it and what I need to do to fix it?Many thanks in advance! Edited February 13, 2020 by KingUggi
JimmyRJump
Besides aspiring to become a Bond Girl, I can only surmise it has to be a lighting setting. Some NPC also get a strange colour when applying magic to themselves, but I've never seen 'em turn amber/golden.
steve40
It might be a tangent space issue. When converting meshes to SSE (edit: in NifSkope), you need to update the tangent spaces on everything EXCEPT on body and face parts. Tangents and normals affect the way the object gets lit. Basically this means that you should convert all head parts (head, hair, eyes, mouth....) in NIF optimizer with the "head parts only" option checked. I wouldn't convert body parts at all - simply replace them with meshes from your favourite SE female body replacer (e.g. CBBE SE, UNP renewal....).
