How to change somebody's level?

Here's the thing: I always start the game with the Fighter's Guild. Always. This time, however, I decided to take a challenge, so I downloaded OOO. Now, everything was fine up until the Azani Blackheart battle. Holy mama, he was strong as hell. I was at 50% difficulty at the time and barely manged to hurt him, even with Oreyn's help. 2-3 hits from his flame-enchanted sword killed me.

 

I bumped the difficulty down to 0%, which shamed me, as I don't like decreasing difficulty during a tough battle. It mocks me. What shamed me even more was that Azani Blackheart still managed to take half my life away! It took 20 or more blows to finish him off!

 

So here's my question: How do you decrease/change somebody's level and stats? I know it has something to do with the CS but I don't know what to do. Call me a noob if you must, but I'm serious. I can't have my next playthrough that shameful.

 

Can anybody give me the steps on how to edit somebody's stats?

 

Mods I'm using that actually matters here:

- OOO, obviously

- Oblivion XP

Well the easy way would probably be decreasing his stats through the console, which could be a bit boring, but you can change all of his stats. You can target him with the console open and type in:

 

setav (name of the attribute, skill or stat) (skill level)

 

Type it without the () of course. The other thing you could do is open up the construction set for oblivion, load the mods Oblivion.esm and OOO + all of its plugins, find the guy that kicked your @ss and manually edit his stats, then save it and load the mod you made in OBMM. that should solve your problem. I'm sorry if it won't, but I'm not really familiar with OOO scripts and how they affect NPC levelling.

To me, editing somebody's stats to get through a game is infinitely more 'shameful' than lowering the difficulty. The thing is, OOO is MEANT to make things harder. There are places and monsters you simply *never* tackle with OOO until you are of an adequate level -- that's part of the whole point of it.
