weiss89 Posted November 27, 2012 Share Posted November 27, 2012 So i was thinking about how racist the nords are and how they force khajiit and argonians live outside the city's and the dunmer live in a slum. i gess my question is why havnt anymore made a mod that make the guards/nords more racist? ME as a Khajiit can freely run around any city without anyone care at all yet the lore make a RLY big deal about these things.Another example is my friends argonian that was free to join the stormcloaks and even enter any city and noone cared....Were they just to lazy to put it in the game? If they are gona pull the racist thing why did they go halfway... :( so is there any mod out there that can fix this or change ANYTHING about it ?? Yes i know about that but i was thinking from this "Khajiit are the subject of racial discrimination all across Skyrim, as they are thought to be more criminally inclined than other races. So even if your not a part of the caravan i dont think the nords will just let you enter without checking you a few times and im pritty sure they would not be the same way to a random Khajiit entering their nordic city as a nord or any other of the MEN race's.Also its not like they KNOW if your not in the caravan by just looking at you. i could understand if they became more friendly as you became a thane and known in the city or so but before that i just cant see them be all nice to you. It's all about balancing game, nowadays makers of games don't want to add too big changes, for example, for one race.Because it would make that race the most played or hated. When writing requests, never say Bethesda was lazy, they just thought of the players of today who appreciate "perfect balance".Though, I don't like it that much. Races need to be different in other ways too. (VRR helps in that a bit :biggrin: ) Anyhow, implementing dialogue which would make guards at the gates check your pockets for stolen goods would be pretty nice for roleplaying. If you'd want to smuggle stolen stuff into city, you'd need to be clever, maybe use sewers? (there is mod which adds sewers to every city) I hope someone would be able to make this. Maybe so that khajiits and argonians would be always checked, except at Riften and Whiterun. (Riften is obvious, Whiterun is central trading post)Other races if they have had bounty on their heads? I can see why they wouldn't want to actually impact gameplay in this manner but changing up the responses you get based on your race would be good. Back in Morrowind I can recall being called Bosmer in a very condescending tone by a Dark Elf that made me feel like they'd rather be scraping dung off their shoe than to have to talk to me. Keep in mind that this could exponentially increase the amount of voice acting required to capture all the varying responses for different races. As im using mods for hardcore econemy, no carriges/fast travel anything to make the world not so easy mods that makes monsters/bandits everything much stronger the sewers will be nice and i can take that way in but something like guards checking Khajiits/Argonians for Stolen stuff on their way in and out the main gate would be huge, and force us to take other ways in if we wana get stolen stuff inside.
