silerfire
Years ago, I was doing some modeling for Counter Strike using MilkShape3d and I tried to pick up Fallout 3 modeling with both Max and Maya, but I'm not progressing too well. I notice a lot of people use Maya here and I was wondering if any of you with some experience could point me in the direction of some good learning tools? My projects are just wasting graphite... I'm basically a beginner at this point. I tried MilkShape again, but found it unintuitive and fairly stiff. brurpo
never, never, never open milkShape again. that said, I use maya because I work with it and because of that, I feel confortable with it, but if you are planing to do mods, the plug-ins for MAX are far more superior and much more stable, blender is a good choice for mods too, both blender's and Max plug-ins are much better than maya. you can check some begginers tutorials at 3Dtotal.com

Skree000
Learn max first, its alot easier than maya. Maya is intended for advanced 3d users, and was used to make Gollum =P
