Cremdogz
It feels disappointing getting hit by the same fire spell that does like 5 damage each and every time. I was hoping someone would make a mod to give NPCs Midas Magic spells. It can start with say someone on level 1 and enemies may have the ones from the Midas Magic for dummies book. Then someone on level 50 and enemies are healing themselves with Midas Ultima and summoning cheese atronachs at like level 20. It would be so good to vs other enemies like bandits, necromancers, conjurers and things like Goblin Shamans (how they got those spells is beyond me) who can hit you hard with Midas Magic. I didn't give a very good explanation a couple of months ago when I requested this, and I got responses like use Teach Spell and Midas Magic Companions. I'm not looking for companions, and I'm not gonna wait around for a necromancer to learn the spell I just taught him so that I can kill him later. I'm purely looking for NPCs to use Midas Magic without any gimmicks or anything else, it's in their spell list and they will use those spells against me. If you have the CS, you might be able to go and take all those spells and give them to npcs. Just use the leveled spells list on all of the npcs. If you do not know, then check out tutorials online, or maybe someone might help you out in that area.
Cremdogz
I can give it a try, but I've never modded before, nor know anything about programming. I'll see what I can do.
LoginToDownload
NPCs generally won't use scripted spells unless either scripted to, which is very difficult for spells other than On Self, or they have conventional spell effects as well. Also, quite a few Midas spells use specific references for their casting, so the player and NPCs couldn't use them at the same time. That said, I have seen certain (Creature, not NPC) inhabitants of the Astral Plane use Midas Force Ball. I'm not sure how.
Cremdogz
They are creatures, I know they do too, but I meant humans, people (and liches I guess, scrap goblin shamans). I wasn't intending on all spells being used. What the hell will the enemy do with Midas Magic Carpet? But I intended on adding most of these. Obviously, I guess some spells wouldn't work, like perhaps the metamorphosis spells. The other thing I forgot, I think I gotta ask his permission. If I've got to do it manually for every single thing (especially when I hardly know what's happening) maybe I should save it for when I maybe add (if I do) boss battles or something, where they would be specified to carry midas magic. Cremdogz
Ok. I played around with the construction kit and looked at the tutorials and I've come to the conclusion that I have no idea what I am doing. The tutorial isn't clear, but I can only guess. I think it wants the ID of the spells. But what IDs do Midas Magic spells have? Also, with the player specific spells, are those the ones that draw aurum on self? Gethesmain
You know what might be a good way of giving Conjurers/magic users/Lichs Midas Magic? Make a staff (or perhaps a number of staves) that have the "random spell" effect, then make those random spells exclusive to some Midas Magics Like low level ones for the low level staves, and highers for high of course) then add said staves to the leveled lists for said baddies. If baddies are having trouble selecting the midas spells to use, they may consider using them if it is their main weapon, the staff. It's a lot less work then screwing with AI to force them to use the magic too. So how about that modders? Any takers? Hell knows I would use that if it were available.
