Hello guys, as the title goes I have f***ed my game up.

My game has been crashing since I got the new mods.

New mods don't work, possibly by replacing old files without thoughts. I need help on fixing the issue and maybe further tips on improving the situation (reduced game performance before installing the new blue mods when I am in big cities like Markath).

What should I do now that I want all these mods to be in the game without conflict?

Thanks for any further help and replies.

PS: I have XPSSEE, CBBE, Unofficial Patch and many baseline mods on.

If the game started crashing after adding some mods, then getting rid of them will solve the problem. Simple as that.

Sometimes some mods simply don't work together with other mods. A lot of the time there's patches to make 'em work together.

Use a mod manager like NMM (you seem to use it already) to install/uninstall mods and use LOOT to sort the load order for you.

There's quite a few red entries in the plugins list. That means those plugins are missing their masters (main mods on which they depend). That alone is a reason why the game is crashing. Click any red entry to see in the right hand panel on which mod they depend and install that mod.

You also are missing a lot of patches for ELFX and such. Read the descriptions of the mods you're using.

Deactivating/deselecting mods/plugins often isn't enough to solve problems. A complete uninstall should be done when not using a mod.

Thanks, but what do I do then when the masters conflict with other mods, for example textures mods or perk mods?

That depends on how they 'conflict'. If they simply want to overwrite one-another's files, then you have to make a choice in NMM's overwrite pop-up menu to let or not let the mod you're installing overwrite files from another mod.

Load order can also be of help. The last mod loaded 'wins' the conflict. I'm running 700 mods now with 360 plugins and I more or less game conflict-free. But it took several years of trial and error before I managed this. It takes time to learn to know the mods and what they do.

You'll have to do a lot of reading every description page and sift through comments and bug-reports. It can be tedious and time-consuming, but it's the only proper way to avoid errors. Because, most errors in a modded game are not caused by mods but by people installing those mods.

Errors like the ones you have can easily be avoided by meticulously reading the mod descriptions. Not berating you. It just happens. People see mods, want to use them and install the lot without checking the hows and whats. And when things go wrong, they end-up here with questions to which they would have had the answers if they would have taken the time to get to know what they're doing

I did my fair share of stupid things. But to most problems you'll find an answer somewhere. Because stupidity is of all times and the errors you encounter have been had hundreds of times before by dozens and dozens of other people. And forgive me for using the word 'stupidity'. I'm not calling you stupid. Just careless. But we've all been there at some point.
