Wolfman89
Hi if I dont have steam but I bought the game normally is there some way to get patches for Skyrim? Or do I have to connect it to Steam? I think it reallysucks that in this day and age everyone thinks that anyone who doesn't use the regime of the applications like Origin or Steam that those persons are pirates, I just dont think I need some fascist pricks staring over my shoulder. If I want to update on my own so I can continue to use some cool mods for my store bought game then thats what I'm gonna do. Can anyone help me? If you bought the game "normally" it would have Steam and it updates there. No exceptions. Rabbit

We do not provide support for 'alternative update' methods. Hate it or not, Steam is required for activation, and it is the only way to obtain patches/updates legally. If you do not like Steam, set it to Offline Mode once the update is finished, and you can even block it with your firewall, the game will still run normally.
