Referer
Hi there, For some time I'm having problems with flickering mountains/skies.YouTube link My specifications are in the description. Thanks in advance!
Drakinor1
Are you using any mods? If your using ENB I know some of the older versions of ENB have major issues with ATI cards. Have your tried re-validating your game cache in steam? Are you forcing anything through Catalyst? Are your drivers, DirectX etc all up to date? My best guess would be either ATI drivers or a graphics mod, ENB, Mintys Lightning, Climates of Tamriel etc.
Referer
Hi, thanks for your response! I forgot to mention the flickering occurs even when I disable all mods, but I have installed:- AmidianBorn Elven Armor- ApachiiSkyhair- Apocalypse Spell Package- Better Dynamic Snow- Calientes Female Body Mod- Immersive Armors- Skyrim Flora Overhaul- All the skyrim 2HD textures- W.A.T.E.R - water and terrain enhancedment Redux When does Catalyst force settings? Only when you create a specific profile for a game regarding the settings? I created a test profile once, but I don't know if Skyrim uses that one. The settings I used for that profile (it seems I can't delete the profile, so I can't test it after the profiles deleted.) I tried to translate the values from Dutch as good as possible:Standard 3d settings: Use Adjusted SettingsAnisotropic filtering: Use Application SettingsCatalyst A.I: DefaultDetail mipmap: High qualityWait for vertical refresh: Off, unless applications specifiesOpenGL: Triple buffering: off AMD Radeon HD 7800 SeriesStandard 3d settings: Use Adjusted SettingsAnisotropic filtering: Deny Application Settings, Samples per pixel: 8xMorphological Filtering: DisabledTesselation: AMD OptimisedTexture quality: qualitySurface optimization: EnabledDetail mipmap: High QualityWait for vertical refresh: Off, unless applications specifiesOpen GL: Triple buffering: off Don't use crossfire. I was using the latest, stable drivers for my graphical card. I updated to the beta version to see if that would help, but it didn't unfortunately. DirectX up-to-date yes. I cleared cache in steam, no result too unfortunately. Thanks in advance again!

Whenever you click anything other than "Use Application Settings" or whatever it says in Catalyst it will force the setting chosen. It looks like your forcing 8 samples of anisotropic filtering, which is fine, but make sure that in your skyrim settings its also at 8 samples. For some reason skyrim can get somewhat temperamental about forcing a different setting. Also are you using any ENB's or not? Sometime's ENBs can cause some interesting glitches. You may also try going through Catalyst and changing things one at a time to try and find a culprit (I know it is a HUGE pain:P) "Surface optimization: Enabled" is what I would try first if the anisotropic filtering match doesnt work. You may also want to try TES5Edit (not sure if there is a dutch translation) to see if there are any dirty edits in your main files (NEVER TOUCH SKYRIM.ESM THOUGH!!) I know that Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and Hearthfire.esm tend to have "ditry edits" which are the same information readded and can cause some issues. Hopefully that helps. If not, let us know so we can keep trying to get to the bottom of the problem.
zyg0tic
Kind of looks like artifacting, commonly caused by overheated or overclocked video card. Is your graphics card overclocked?
Referer
Kind of looks like artifacting, commonly caused by overheated or overclocked video card. Is your graphics card overclocked? Nope, not overclocked, and a temperature of 25 celcius, and max 40 while stressed. ;) @Drakinor1 I will try some settings in Catalyst. ENB are environmental mods? I couldn't find any dirty edit with TES5edit ;)
Referer
I removed my display drivers, clean install; didn't work. Because I deleted everything from AMD, CCC was deleted too, so I tried it without that particular game profile; didn't work either. Tried vsync off in both CCC and .iniTried vsync on in CCC and of in .iniTried vsync off in CCC and on in .iniTried vsync on in CCC and on in .ini Maybe it's something in the ini? Referer
Mmm, sorry for the triple post, but downgrading to CCC 12.6 (instead of 12.10) seemed to do the trick for my HD 7850. Thanks for your help!
