Both, xedit is just a term that covers the software as a whole.

 

HTR, I do not believe he has posted a LO since sorting with LOOT? Kit and I covered that I believe. I figured if it was not a good recommendation it would be revealed in xedit doing CR, but if you have some insight that a better starting arrangement I am sure he'd appreciate the tips.

I don't think he's used loot, or at least he hasn't used LOOT properly, because Loot wouldn't spit that out for a load order.

There's no way LOOT would allow ESMs to be randomly thrown in the load order.

 

I'm guessing he ran LOOT to SORT them MOds, but then never hit APPLY, when it was done.

Lol, HTR if you look at the second post above your first here in the topic you will see what is below here that the OP posted.....

I added mods with MO2 but sorted with loot and it seems to work well. Everything on loot is fixed (no red errors). On MO2 it shows a notification that 2 of the mods are Oldrim conversions (racemenus and werewolf perks). Do you think this would be a problem? Otherwise I'm ready to start a fresh game and test it.

The OP was not asking about a MM he wanted to know about the terminology associated with xedit. The last points you meantioned I am not sure on as it has been awhile since I looked at his list. I will look back through this topic and see if he has posted a new list since sorting with LOOT. If he did fail to hit apply on LOOT then my post above was missed. Only the OP can tell us.....

I took a quick look at the mod list but it is very hard to give you any input as it seems to be listed alphabetically instead of by LO. If you could post a list of the actual LO maybe I can give you some more insight there. Also, to remove the basics of problems it might be in your best interest to post the info on the hardware of his laptop. The size of the LO one can run is controlled by the hardware in use. Then one of the hardware experts could respond if you are possibly running to many mods. Hate to see you work through and learn all the mentioned above to find out he couldn't run that many mods to begin with successfully.

I dropped some of the mods off that gave me too much of a headache. I can do more. Good news is he'll be home Tuesday....I can't wait.

I just checked the beginning of the log and it shows a lot of mods having been "injected" into things. Is this alright or is this a ticking time bomb?

"Injecting" just means Load Order Lists etc

Yeah, xedit just gives you a readout of all it does while it does it. What you want to look for are any "Error" records. If you ran the QCFC you willl seem them, if there are any, just above where it repeats 4 times about loading the filter. Those errors if existing you want to take care of first. Probably mostly meaning switch places of mentioned mods.

Hay kIt, that is not the list we need. You need to find where MO2 is loaded. Inside look for "profiles". In there you should see a "saves" folder and other files. Look for one called "loadorder.txt" and that is the one you need put up here.

also, am I supposed to match the MO2 with loot for load order? I've never used MO2 before so I don't know what it can do.
