Hi there :)

i´d like to see a rifle, in semi-auto for the 5.56 ammo. here are some suggestions :)

be it an H6K SL9 http://www.world.guns.ru/civil/civ009-e.htm)

or an Beretta RX4 (http://www.world.guns.ru/civil/civ004-e.htm)

or the KEL-TEC Su 16 (http://www.world.guns.ru/civil/civ002-e.htm)

or the RUGER Mini-14 (http://www.world.guns.ru/civil/civ013-e.htm)

or this one, could be nearly any caliber the modder wants (and looks very "fallouty", imo) :

ArmalonPC (http://www.world.guns.ru/civil/civ012-e.htm)

They are all labeled as "civilian rifles" at world guns. ru, so in a war-battered country, there could be plenty ...

The mini-14 is the only rifle you've listed that is actually common. Tons of them everywhere and I agree its a good candidate for FO3.

The SU-16 is a cool design - I've got an SU-16C with a Bushnell Holosight and it is a sweetheart of a lightweight rifle. Sadly, they arent' nearly as popular as they deserve to be, so I don't see one really popping up in FO3.

Beretta RX4's and PX4's and the like are really uncommon, too. Mostly special ordered by the occasional Beretta fanatic and not very common at all.

Also, here in the states we got the the HK SL8-1, which can't use the full 30 round magazines of the G36 like the typical HK SL8 available in the world market.

Yay for stupid importation laws in the US requiring a proprietary 10 round magazine. As such, few people are willing to pay HK prices for something so limited when it offers so little over a vast number of other designs. I've been to gun shows all over the southwest and been on shooting ranges at least one weekend a month for the past two decades.. and I've only ever seen a handful. I don't think its a likely candidtate for FO3 as a result. Besides, who wants a bigass battleship grey 10 shot G36 wannabe?

Oh me and a friend of mine REALLY want to see a Ruger Mini-14 in the game. Preferably with a 20 round mag.

The SU-16, not so much. I fired one once, didn't like it too much.

How about the M-14 as a reskin of the fugly sniper rifle already in the game, and the mini-14 as a new weapon?

The Fugly Sniper is actually the only weapon that looks anything like the equivalent weapon in FO1 and FO2, as such I'd say leave it alone, even if it did grow some polymer Dragunov wannabe stock once it got into FO3.

The 20 round semiauto .308 sniper niche was finely handled by Vash's L1A1 though. So as much as I utterly lust for an M1A* in real life, I just don't see it filling a needed in-game niche at this point. Yes, variety is the spice of life but there's only so much of Vash to go around :)

Though the Mini-14 would fit pretty nicely in-between the bolt-action hunting rifle and the assault rifle - and word to the 20 round Mini-14 mags. The only magazines that work worth a damn are the Ruger factory 5, 10 & 20 rounders anyway!

Plus, the unique version could be the AC-556K - a nice little 12in shorty sidefolding full-auto 5.56 that uses Mini-14's for repair, since the AC-556 is just a select-fire mini-14... :D Oh wait the AC-556K was in Fallout:Tactics as well so its even Canon!

(*The M1A is an M-14, just minus provision for the selector lever that puts it on 'full' - having fired a G3A3 on full auto I see ZERO purpose for full auto in a .308/7.62x51 NATO shoulder rifle)
