Bean0
There aren't a whole lot of new revolvers out there so I think it would be nice if someone made this thing:http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg49-e.htmhttp://world.guns.ru/handguns/mp-412-1.jpghttp://world.guns.ru/handguns/mp-412-2.jpgIt hinges open just like the .32 revolver so you can use the same animation. I'm not sure exactly what bullet it would fire, there's already a revolver in .32 and .44 so I guess 10mm but that would be a stretch too.A 3d model of it already exists but I don't know if it would work with Fallout 3. Odds are you'd need to make your own model, but I imagine this might help a little:http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/det...388&ct=mdrm Now this weapon never entered widespread production because it was designed for export to the states but this was shut down by a politically-based import ban so without a market there was no reason to make them. It was still a good, inexpensive design with a lot of work put into it and we could always use the "alternate universe" rule to justify it existing in the wasteland. vashts1985
yeah its unfortunate because this Russian beauty had potential. then again most Americans swear by their S&W's and may not have been that accepting to it. i think i seen someone make one a while back but i dont think the thing ever got skinned
Wreckless1
Dead to rights, I absolutely LOVE my S&W 686... but I also love top-break revolvers and I really wish this could have been imported. The beautiful thing about a top-break revolver like the MP412 is that because the cylinder never needs to swing away from the barrel, the barrel/cylinder gap can be toleranced down to thresholds that would be impossible in a typical revolver. This would have aided with accuracy as well as allowed that much less cylinder gap blowby to occur. But this gun really fits the retro-50's-future theme of Fallout with utter perfection. What an excellent weapon request! I really hope someone takes this up! An idea would be to simply do this as a .32 pistol replacement, as there's already a mod that renames the .32 to .357 (which makes sense) and changes the Hunting Rifle to fire 5.56 (which also makes sense) so really there's little if any reason this couldn't be done.
