Exploding Radios?

Hey, I've seen videos of New Vegas where shooting at a radio will cause it to explode.

Is this a mod or in the vanilla game?

I tried it in my game and I could not get them to explode which leads me to believe its a mod.

If so, which mod is it?

I would like to use this for a montage of exploding radios for my youtube channel ( www.youtube.com/user/QuidProQuoBrute )

I believe the video was likely gameplay from Dead Money which was the first DLC released for the game.

So it that radio a different item? how hard would that be to replace regular radios with that one? i think though there is still a mod thats adds exploding radios to the waste

No, the radio is the same item. Those clever folks at Obsidian! They tricked people into buying content they already have! :facepalm:

 

In all seriousness, you may be right. There may be a mod that does the same. I don't know of any such mod.

Dead Money's exploding radios are activator NVDLC01Radio. The difference between them and the Mojave radios is that Dead Money's radios have destruction data added to them.

I think i found a mod that adds the destruction data. called Bubba shot the Jukebox http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46077

Hes talking about alchestbreach, ya'know , the guy whose been KEEPING FALLOUT NEW VEGAS ALIVE!!! yeah well he has a mod or something installed that allows him to shoot at any radio or jukebox and make it blow up. chop chop people this guy isn't the only one looking for this mod.
