Deleted269910User
I'd say it has something to do with how the inbuilt(?) 'word wrap' feature works in IE, however I don't poke around in IE much, so can't say with 100% certainty. This is about how far I can go with my knowledge about using IE unfortunately. ~Elraine
pedantic
Well, there are still those three other suggested browsers, if you don't mind switching. :) Glad if these posts helped you though. ~Elraine edit; On a note, although it's slow, you can use your mouse to start whiting out(Can't remember the correct term/word for it.) the text and moving your cursor to the right edge of the page, so it starts automatically dragging the center of your browser in the same direction, which lets you read what's hidden there. Another option is to simply quote the unreadable posts and read them in the reply window. Highlighting, that's a good suggestion! I'll give it a shot! EDIT: Well, that didn't solve the problem. What it did do was allow me to read the text I could never previously read. Excellent. I'll continue to look into this. IE used to only have zoom and it was a boon as opposed to a problem. Now that we have auto stretch or shrink to page, it's all gone tits up!
Deleted269910User
I already PM'ed you, but thought I'd post this in case someone has the same problem. I confirmed after a little searching that IE has an inbuilt wordwrap that can't be customized from the settings, which leads to the fact that if you're suffering from this problem with IE, your only viable options are to; a)Zoom out and read what's out of screen. Some of the text may become jagged, but it's fixable by setting 'View->Text Size->Medium' after the zooming process is done. b)Highlight the text and drag your mouse until you've moved the center of the screen enough to be able to read all of it. c)Change your display resolution up from whatever you're using.(1024x768 seems to suffer from this, however 1280x1024 on the other hand is free of it. I haven't tested the other ones between the two, or the commonly used 800x600. On a side note; If you've used your old resolution for a long time, changing to a bigger one can cause mild nausea/headache for a little while after the change, however this won't always occur and varies a lot from person-to-person. For me it's mild nausea, for a couple of my friends it's small headache, some don't suffer from any of it, few have a combo of the two.) d)Change your browser to one of the following(Or search for another alternative if you don't like these);Opera(clicky)Mozilla Firefox(clicky)Google Chrome(clicky) ~Elraine P.S. There may be other solutions, but I've failed to encounter them as of yet.
LHammonds
If installation is an issue (like at government facilities), you could use a portable app browser which does not require installation. Here is the portable edition of Firefox. As a side note, I use a custom plugin for Firefox called Resizeable Textarea that allows me to resize text input boxes to any shape I like. ;)
