yungskiz
its the closest thing fonv has to a middle finger my friend. dont think anyone has found a "fix" for it. this is why you must back up your saves! the closet thing to a fix would be to keep trying it usually works for me and when it doesn't -> go into your saves take the quicksave.fos file and put it on the desktop, then rename the "quicksave.fos.bak" file to "quicksave.fos" then boot the game up again and load it up, its sort of an internal backup system, but ive found that its not a "current" save, meaning that if you save, then do whatever, say go through a door, then f5 again-> then do what i just described it will be the save before you went through the door, so the fos.bak stays a save behind from what ive found
phoneyLogic
Whats your anti virus scanner?
JimboUK
Load another save and then load the save you want in game, it's the only fix I know of.
phoneyLogic
I had the very same issue, so I mailed the Beth-Tech-Support over their web site. I told them what Programs I'm running in the backround. They told me to addFalloutNV.exe andFalloutNVLauncher.exeto the exclusion list of my Anti Maleware Scanner and Firewall. I did and never had the infinite loading bug again. Edited December 13, 2012 by tortured Tomato
asdfpepper
Yeah, adding all Fallout New Vegas related .exe files to my firewall's exceptions seemed to work.
phoneyLogic
Btw, for me its working since October last Year. Meanwhile I can be pretty certain that this exactly was the reason, At least for me. So if one of you may use Windows 8, remember to add these files to the exclusion list of the built in Windows Defender, which in fact is just a built in version of MSE.
