Kraeten
Hopefully one of you gurus can help me out here, as I'm at my wit's end. I've been working on retexturing some Imperial architecture models, mostly just trying to make them look cleaner and more well maintained. The exterior architecture shows the edits perfectly, but the interior models don't look different at all. Why would this be?! For some extra information, here's how I go about retexturing. Basically I first extract the meshes and textures I'm going to use, then I organize them in the Data folder appropriately. Meshes stored in the meshes folder and so forth. Then I open the .dds file I want to edit in photoshop, using the appropriate nvidia plugin. My actual edits are quite minor, just messing with color values for the most part. I then save the .dds file, then load the mesh I want to retexture into nifscope. And it does appear like the retexture works in nifscope, which is what really throws me for a loop. I save the mesh with its new texture, then import it into the Creation Kit. Pretty simple right? So why would it work for the exterior models and NOT the interior ones? Any help would greatly appreciated. Edited December 15, 2012 by Kraeten

TheGreenLion
Well from what you've written so far there shouldn't be anything wrong with the interior meshes unless you haven't replaced the models with yours, that is pretty odd.
IsharaMeradin
You could check and see if the mesh in the CK has been assigned a texture set which would override whatever is assigned to the nif file. Go to whatever form in the CK uses the mesh, click on edit to change the mesh. A new window pops up that has a preview of the mesh and lists all the nodes in that mesh. If there is an assigned texture set that will be listed there too. If you do see a texture set entry, make a note of it and find its form so that you can look up which files to modify. Or you can delete the texture set entry so that it will use what is assigned to the nif.
