lencombs
Not sure if there is a mod like this already. I keep all my alchemy ingredients in a barrel by my alchemist table. I have to pick up ingredients, either all, or individually and then put them back, and it is tedious. I would like the alchemy table to have a storage unit as part of the table, where I can just throw all my ingredients in as I gather them, and they are usable without me having to pick them up out of a barrel. IsharaMeradin
There are two mods that allows this: Alchemy Ingredient Storage and Automatic Item Storage. Both mods are by the same author and no longer supported. There is one problem with the way the script is designed. Any workstation with the item transfer script attached that is loaded into your game, becomes unusable whenever the mod is uninstalled. So its mainly for use in mod homes rather than the stock game. I did stumble across a "safe variant" of that script as I worked on creating a fix to resolve the blocked workstation issue for when a bag of holding mod where I used the aforementioned storage mod was uninstalled. However, I do not think that I still have that around.
Dudeman325
I was going to say pretty much the same thing, so I'll just drop a link. Ranger Ridge is a really nice player home, not far from Whiterun or Riverwood, that uses a whole lot of Automatic Item Storage (which doesn't work for items added by mods, afaik). There is a catch in that you have to level up a bit to finish a small quest to get the key, usually around level 20-30, but the home is definitely worth it. If you're really impatient, you could always just use the console to 'unlock' the door though. ;) Have fun!
IsharaMeradin
Dudeman325 is correct. Automatic Item Storage does not work with custom items added by mods or even DLC content. If I find that "safe variant" script I mentioned or get the time to redo it, I could post instructions on how you can achieve what you want wherever you want it (provided you are willing to do some Creation Kit work).
