Robinsage
Ok so I have a save game that I've played off and on for almost a year that has the bloat. After purging the cell cache via sleeping 31 days and doing the old 'PCB', it reduced the save size some but not enough. The save file size is at 70 MB with the recent purges. If I log him on and just sit around not doing much for a few minutes and save again, the save file adds another 5-10 MB. Plus the game freezes for a few seconds every few minutes. It can't be a PC problem and no other saves behave this way. Something is definitely wrong here. Since the cells have been purged I suspect some rogue scripts clogging up my saves. I've looked for every mod I've had installed on the problem file to do proper uninstalls, but it hasn't made much of a difference so far. So the save is pretty much unplayable. Before I abandoned that game I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions I could try. Thanks in advance.
Elsarian
Any save over 40 MB is pretty much not salvageable. The modding community has yet to find a fix for it. You can get the Unofficial Skyrim Patch which helps in reducing this problem (by a lot actually), but there is no guarantee that it'll save your character.
