Posting Time Limit?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I try to do my Forum Postings during 1 sit down.

Some posts are long and take a few and some are just short answers.

( But if they are too short, I have to wait and it's longer than the 5 seconds stated. I actually timed it and though not a big deal it's more like 15 to 20 seconds. )

The question is WHY? When I'm not labeled a SPAMMER ... and just like to get through this ... is there away to adjust this??

Thanks for pondering it! :D

I'm not sure what you mean? Does the forum give you an error or does it just take a few seconds to submit your request?

I have encountered this also. What happens is the poster will get a message that the second post was submitted to soon and you must wait a set amount of time. Usually after reading the message enough time has elapsed and you can then re-submit the post.

It is such a shame that if you post very quickly you are held-up for such a lengthy period of time (very heavy sarcasm intended).

i think for a normal user, this is an annoyance, but a necessary one.

if there was no forced timeout period and i was a spambot - i could probably bring the forum to its knees with posts that would clog up the board with spam and probably make a dent in the overall network performance.
