I have a big issue right now, i play skyrim in both my pc and laptop but it's hard to keep the same mods between them, i just copy downloaded mods from one pc to another but the biggest issue is having the same config for both, settings like loading orders, file conflicts and individual mod settings are a real pain. is there atleast a way to copy settings or even backup the mods and configs in one file so i can takeit to the other pc? NMM used to have a backup function, but i dont remember if that included mod settings

Vortex isn't really designed to be used this way. If you copy the Vortex folder in Appdata/Roaming that will sync all of Vortex's internal database info. You might be able to do this by syncing Vortex's downloads/staging and appdata folders to some kind of cloud service, but it's not something we can really support.

I too would love to do something similar, at least for the downloads so I don't have multiple copies of them on my PCs. Maybe a feature request? I originally posted this yesterday.

Suggestion - Share a download folder with another PC running Vortex

I run Vortex on two separate gaming PCs and I use my cloud drive to store my downloads. I managed to trick Vortex to store downloads to the same cloud folder path on both PCs. However when I download Mods on one PC, after they sync, the downloads don't show up in the downloads section on my second PC. Is there a way to accomplish this without manually inserting them? Or can this be a feature request.

Looking to do the same thing. After playing games on steam for so many years, it's common place to switch computers when traveling etc, and continue playing the same savegame. Usually my modded games are simple - there's just one mod to download on the other computer - but with Skyrim we need a mod manager to provide functionality do to the sheer amount of modding.

Found this which mentions some of the same things but it's not clear this will be a smooth method
