Michlo Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Ive been getting depressed alot lately enough so that im on meds for it but im still depressed so im wondering what all of you guys do when you get depressed Umm, you go back to your Doctor(s) if, as it seems, you have REAL clinical depression rather than the word others bandy about just when they're feeling sad. falloutx Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 roflz , aight this is my tip on how to release your depression 1. sing really loud like screaming metal music that way you can release anything depression sometimes can cure by singing2. play voilent games or boxing sport , imagine that the person on the game npcs that you shoot is the person you hate yell anything that might cool you down trust me it works 3.if the depression on the steps number one and two dont drink what ever you feeld depressed always meditate , or exercesice if you have extreme depression consult your doctor dont eat too much pills. 4. drink alot of water , take a deep breath 5. for my happy medicine i always drink Cofee with high sugar not always but only when i am really depressed and uber sad sugar can makeyou happy but dont always do like this 6.Go to a boxing gym punch as hard as you can on the punching bag imagine that punching bag is the person you hate that release your depression 7. attend to a healthy activities like summer camp etc that freed you from all the pain 8. talk to your family about this or sibling that you feel close to this way you know the source of your pblem 9. have a postive thinking , negative thinking is gonna make your depression alot worst 10 . ignorance is the best way to kill your depression , ignore everything additional tip - dont drink heavy alcohol this can make more depression- dont do drugs , i use to be a drug addicter back in the day but i manage to stop it Yay me- dont start a fight with your younger friend or siblings i know depression can lead anger - give your self a space to go outside , for at least an hour or two to get out from the house if you feel heavily pain on but this way you can relief yourself with outmost pain. wasder Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 when i get depressed i like to climb my favourite tree, lounge on a long think branch that is actually quite comfortable and play my bass guitar for a couple hours WOO! Other bassists. Watch comedy films. Anchorman, Talledega Nights, Baseketball, Bruce Almighty, Dodgeball. All great films. And music helps (not depsressing stuff obviously). It depends really. If I'm upset (Not depressed. I would be strange, being properly depressed at 14, and I don't really have any great problems) because of arguments and problems with people I listen (and play) really angry music. Like Metallica, Pantera, Machine Head, Lamb of God, general metal. However, if it's for other reasons I tend to listen to quieter stuff.
