skulleris
Also the stats on your lich are not that correct. I believe in Oblivion Liches had: 25% weakness to Fire,100% resistance to Frost,100% resistance to Poison; 25% resistance to all magic. 25% spell absorption (regained magicka after getting hit by a spell) 25% spell reflect (reflected damage back at the attacker) Just my OCD about stats coming out :D(in Morrowind, they also i believe had 50% resistance to Shock) Edited January 3, 2013 by skulleris
kromey
Well, I'm not trying to reintroduce Morrowind liches into Skyrim, so I can just say "not all liches are made alike". Not to mention that the games clearly aren't the same -- I mean, just take a look at vampires and how different they are in Skyrim versus Oblivion! (Not to mention that Skyrim doesn't even have spell reflection...) That being said, though, once the heavy lifting has been done it wouldn't be hard to tweak the specific stats to produce a "Morrowind-esque" version as well. If there's enough interest, I may do that as an optional download.
skulleris
Just a little note, vampires in Oblivion and Skyrim are different because they're different clans, and even the diseases are different, In Oblivion it was Porphyric Hemophilia, and in Skyrim it's Sanguinare Vampiris. And well a Lich is but a magically resurrected corpse one way or the other. I'm very picky only because i want you to succeed  Edited January 3, 2013 by skulleris
kromey
Well, technically speaking, zombies, draugr, skeletons, dragon priests, and liches are all magically resurrected corpses one way or the other, yet they're all different... ;) Like I said, it wouldn't be that hard to change the bonuses around once the lich was created and done, and if there's enough interest I could do a Morrowind-esque optional version. Deleted1308005User
Aye, no need to start poking eyes because of the stats. Those can be altered with ease after the mod is in somewhat releasable state.
skulleris
Yeah, sorry about that. As i said, i'm kind of OCD about numbers and stats :psyduck: How's the progress, anyway?
kromey
Unfortunately RL is getting in the way at the moment, so the only modding I've so far had time to actually do is the Steel From Ingots mod linked from my sig. I'm hoping however to get a good start on Lichdom this weekend; highly doubt I'll have anything even remotely releasable for at least a couple of weeks, though -- kinda sucks being all grown up and having, y'know, responsibilities. :yucky: EW! Zephyr2011
wrong thread, my bad. The mod sounds awesome though, looking forward to it. Edited January 5, 2013 by Zephyr Kronos
kromey
Some progress is being made: The phylactery is craftable, there's a new Alteration spell to then "prime" it (don't know that it'll remain Alteration, but that's where it is for now), and the "damaged" version can be repaired. I plan on using an enchantment applied to the "full" version of the phylactery to start developing and testing the abilities one gains as being a lich. Still have to figure out how I'm going to handle the "potion" part, given that it can't be made at an Alchemy table. And, of course, the big enchilada's still hanging over my head -- the custom race. (Not going to do a race for the lich per se, just a perk to apply the abilities and such. Or, at least, that's the plan as it currently stands.) The quest will be pretty simple, too. All told, not a bad start given only an hour, hour-and-a-half of work tonight.
