Vortex Downloads and "Installs" mods, but they are not actually installing

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

 

Vortex was working great! Big patch for the game so I decide to clean install the game and all the mods I use. Uninstall game and scrub the game folder. Unistall Vortex and clean its User files out for a fresh install.

 

Reinstall the game and reinstall vortex on the same drive as the game. Scan for the game, find it, manage it.

 

Download some of the base level mods I plan to use, install and enable the mods.

 

Check the game folder where the mods should be and nothing has happened....

 

Check the vortex staging folders and see that the mods are downloaded and unpacked successfully.

 

Repeated this process again with the same result. Not sure how to trouble shoot further.

 

Any suggestions?

Check the notifications in the top right of Vortex. That will tell you if there are any issues.

 

It's possible your staging folder is no longer on the same hard drive as your game.

 

What do you see in the load order tab of Vortex? That's a good indicator of the actual deployed modules.

It was not giving me any error messages, but I think you are absolutely right about the staging folder! I just looked and it is not on the same drive as the installation of Vortex or the game.

 

I will give moving it a shot and report back if I'm still having issues.
