Reilight
SO I just recently got back into New Vegas and tried my hand at modding for the first time. Took a while to fix any bugs I came across but I managed to get everything running smoothly. About 40hrs in, I decided to try starting the Dead Money DLC for the first time and basically came to an almost empty void after the starting conversation with Father Elijah where I couldn't see any wall or floor textures and had almost no collision as far as I know. The base game works perfectly fine without anything missing that I've encountered so far, only this section. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated before I just try a drastic measure like doing a fresh install. I have all DLC installed. Edited May 7, 2020 by Reilight

dubiousintent
All of the following may not apply to your specific situation, but are worth repeating anyway. If you add (or remove) any VWD/LOD textures (such as NMC, Vurt's WFO, or Ojo Bueno), please see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide regarding the need to run both TES4LL and FNVLODGen; or xLODGen - Terrain LOD beta for FNV, FO3, FO4, FO4VR, TES5, SSE, TES5VR, ENDERAL. Also recommend you read the 'LOD/VWD Texture Packs' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article first.* Move any "inactive/disabled" plugins out of the game "Data" folder. They count against the "plugin cap"(see [[#Smaller_Plugin_Cap|Smaller Plugin Cap]]) because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems. Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article if you get that error message. * Don't install every optional file for a mod. Read the install instructions carefully. Optional files need to be selected on a "case by case" basis. For example: with any mod you usually only need one ESP (and possibly one ESM) "base" file depending upon whether you have all the DLCs active or not. Only if you don't have them all active do you need to install any specific DLC versions if there is an "Ultimate Edition/All/Merged DLC" version. * Don't install compatibility patches for mods you do not have installed/active (e.g. get rid of any "TTW" patches if you aren't running TTW). The reverse also holds true: don't install mods that are not compatible with, or specific to, TTW or FNC if you are playing with them. * Toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" off-and-on-again. If the problem persists, then see either the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' or the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so. It is designed for someone who has never played a modded PC game before, so it tries to avoid making any assumptions, is kept "up-to-date", and covers years of "lessons learned".-Dubious-
Reilight
Managed to fix issue, thanks guys. Turns out when I tried to clean the DLC files (like Dead Money) that LOOT recommended using FNVEdit, that's apparently what was breaking the game. Still looking into a reason if there is one but otherwise everything is running perfect now.
dubiousintent
LOOT is a general purpose tool for analyzing file dependencies in several games. It detects things like ITMs and DTRs, which are generally not desirable, but only the author of a mod can say for sure. Sometimes they are necessary. The published game and DLC files for FNV should NOT be cleaned, no matter what LOOT reports. (They were published well after those problems were known about.) It doesn't actually say "clean this"; it reports the number of ITM and DTR instances, and people are used to interpreting that as "needs to be cleaned" from their experience with other games. That is one reason some are down on LOOT, but really any general purpose analysis tool can be wrong in a specific instance. Just another example of why you have to investigate "best practices" for each game in particular. -Dubious-
