BaronofHe11
I usually get a daily email on all the forum threads that I am watching . However, I haven't received any emails for the last few days. I believe the last one I got was on 24th or 25th. Anyone else not getting their emails? I checked my settings and tried resaving them., but that didn't work.
Hickory
Make sure that your mail server is not treating mail from nexusmods as spam.
BaronofHe11
I'm using gmail and checked the spam folder. I just noticed my notifications count has blown up. Looks like the messages are there but I have no idea why. I have it setup for email not notices .
Hickory
Try using the 'Delete My Cookies' option at the bottom of the forum, then log out. Once you have done that, clear your browser cache, then log back in with a new cookie. Re-set your options in the forum control panel.
BaronofHe11
Thanks for the help. I don't know why but that didn't work. However, that gave me a idea. I deleted the cookies and cleared the cache again. Then I shut down firefox and opened IE which I never use. I then logged into the site again and saved my settings. Now I'm getting my updates via email again. Hopefully it sticks when I go back to firefox. If it doesn't I'll nuke firefox and install a fresh copy. Hickory
That sounds like it may be a corrupt, or at least 'faulty' Firefox profile. Nuke'ing will do it.
Elgar82
I have exactly the same problem since the last few days too. I never used Firefox, i am an Opera user. I get daily digests in my mailbox for months, i didn't change any setting and yet i can't receive mails anymore. The daily digests are shown in a popup if i i come here, although my notifications are set to be received by mail. Of course i have nothing in the spam folder of my mailbox, i checked. I'm going to try the IE trick, but the problem is definitely on the Nexus side. Edited January 1, 2013 by Elgar82
Hickory
but the problem is definitely on the Nexus side. Well, only 2 people have complained (to my knowledge) out of over 5 *million* members. You do the math.
BaronofHe11
Well this is odd. Nuking and reinstalling firefox didn't work. The digest is still going to notifications instead of email. I have switched over to instant notices and those are going to my gmail account. I haven't tried the other notifications options. Before when i said it work for IE I tested it by changing it to instant notification so maybe the daily digest isn't working? Can anyone confirm Daily Digest is correctly going to your email? Yeah I would think more than two people would be complaining if this is on Nexus end.
Hickory
I can't help you with checking the daily digest, as I have mine set to immediate. However, did you take note of this in the settings?:Not all notification methods may be available for all notification events.
