Amczek
I don't know how to call it. I'm pretty new to modding and wanted to make a better house using existing one as base but adding two rooms. This is how rooms look like in CK https://streamable.com/ous9k3 And this is how it looks in-gamehttps://streamable.com/4rmntb Any help is appreciated - I added bound walls to new rooms Edited May 13, 2020 by Amczek
Evangela
Looks like a room bound issue. Might wanna check they are properly connected to the new rooms.
cumbrianlad
I agree with Rasikko. Roombound issue. Roombounds are a pain. When I first did roombounds, I followed darkfox127's tutorial which is good and I'd recommend it. Since then, I do it slightly differently, but they can still go wrong. He's right that you want snap to grid and snap to angle on before even making one. Where I disagree is that I duplicate 1 roombound and then use the gizmo arrows to move the new one so that it lines up with the last one. It's just easier and has no impact on the success rate. What he says is not wrong, it's just that it's a bit quicker my way. Other than that, follow his tutorial and you'll be fine. The roombounds must be exactly aligned (hence having snaps on all the way) or they won't work and you see 'the void' as demonstrated in your vid. The other thing that may be wrong is linking the portal to the second room. In CK, with roombounds 'on', clicking on the room, you should see two blue-white arrows, one pointing to each 'roombound'. If there's only one arrow, you haven't linked the two together. Having said that, sometimes it all looks good in CK but periodically doesn't work in game. I just delete the bounds and do them again until it works every time.
Amczek
Thank you for answers, I just randomly gave roombounds, didn't know they have to be perfectly snapped togheter. It's all good now :)
cumbrianlad
Great news. Just another tip (that I still sometimes forget myself... doh!) When you make your house, dungeon or whatever, think about roombounds while you're building the cell, not right at the end. If you don't, you can get in a right mess later and it's a pig to sort out. This is especially important in things like big dungeons with secret passages, cliffs sticking through cave walls, caves or rooms at an angle to the rest of the grid etc.
