Clipping issues after 1.8.

After updating Skyrim to 1.8 I noticed all sorts of clipping problems, mainly invisible walls near doors and the occasional "fake wall" in dungeons that allowed me to exit the map. No big issues until I tried to do the "Ill met by moonlight" quest. When I enter the Falkreath barracks I fall through the floor, none of it is solid.

I haven't tried disabling all of my mods because the game crashes when I do (and it doesn't really help anything if I have to run Skyrim without mods), and the only mod I could think of that might cause this would be the Static Mesh Improvement mod, I tried disabling it and nothing. Other than that I have a few player homes but I installed them after encountering this problem. Also, I only have mods that were updated or checked for Hearthfire and 1.8.

What I noticed after updating to 1.8 is that BOSS gave me this message:

Contains dirty edits: 52 ITM, 1 UDR records. Needs TES5Edit cleaning. (Cleaning guide)

For update.esm, dawnguard.esm and hearthfires.esm.

Ideas?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I've had some of these clipping issues in custom player homes as well, likely a global issue.

I don't have hearthfire, but I have DG and I get those BOSS messages, but no clipping. I wonder if it is possible that a mod you had used in the past affected some files elsewhere and when you removed that mod it also removed files elsewhere?? Have you tried the verify game files thing on steam? Just a guess.

I'm having the same problems as well. In some dungeons it's so bad that I literally can't move on in the dungeon without using the "tcl" command. It's gone from annoying to incredibly immersion breaking. :(

Ok screw it, I tried disabling ALL my mods, tried verifying the crap through Steam and replacing bad files, tried reinstalling and re-updating the game completely... guess what...

Nothing fixed it.

Also tried tinkering with the frame rate, set it very low or very high, nothing brought back the floor.

EDIT: Tinkered with the console too, the middle section of the barracks isn't solid, the sides are. From what I hear it could be an incompatibility between SMIM and Enhanced Light FX. Problem is I tried disabling all my mods AND reinstalling Skyrim, even if the world stopped making sense all of a sudden that still would have fixed it :-/

You know what, I'm getting this exact same thing in Labyrinthian, Saarthal, Ustengrav and a few other places and I'm not even using 1.8 (yet). I am, however, using SMIM.

I'm going to clean my copy with TESVEDIT and see what happens. I'll post back in an hour or two.

I've narrowed down the problem (for me anyway) to "Enhanced Lights and FX" with the optional SMIM patch files. Disabled literally every mod and reinstalled SMIM and no problem. Reinstalled ELF and suddenly invisible walls again, so that has to be it. Are you guys running that mod as well?

/edit

Oh, duh, I just reread your earlier post, MrTUN3R. I see you are using ELF. So I guess I'm confirming that.

/edit2

EL&FX was *just* updated. DLing now to see if that fixes it.
