Beriallord
The worst new game I played this year was Diablo III. I normally hand pick games, and don't just play anything, and was seriously disappointed with Diablo III.

rizon72
The worst game I played last year, Battlefield 3. First off, the single player story-line, terrible. Second, gameplay, average, nothing special (to me on par with the Battlefield 1942, hard to actually change the gameplay of a FPS). Third, multiplayer, don't know, usually can't connect to the servers. And last, Origin, need I say anything else!
Puskaradio
I really can't think of a game that I particularly disliked among the ones I've played during the last year, but there is that one that has left me full of disappointment, Mass effect 3. As many others have already mentioned, the game in itself is a by all means a solid product, and I did quite enjoy it.. Heck, I was ecstatic to be kicking some reaper butt, until the ending that is. We had been promised an ending that would give closure to all the choices we'd done during the first two games, an ending which could vary depending on the actions you took during all the games, making decisions hard and impactful, and made you think about the ones already taken. It is safe to say that is not what we got. As soon as the credits rolled I thought to myself "What the heck was that? Could this be a joke.. There has to be more!", Unfortunately there wasn't. What had started as an exciting race against time to save the galaxy, had turned into a bland yet painful rape of my expectations, which to be fair were quite high, but still with two incredibly good games before it, how could Mass effect 3 do such a wrong. My main complain with the ending is that I got no feel of satisfaction from it, I vividly remember how at the end of Mass effect I was yelling "Take that you.... ", and how incredibly thankful I was at the end of Mass effect 2 having been able to save each and every one of my companions from certain death. So how could it be that the ending of Mass Effect 3 left me feeling so empty.. And bitter. I don't claim that I could have written a better ending, nor do I have knowledge of why the ending was how it was, but I cannot accept that the same people that came up with the awesome experiences of Mass effect, and Mass effect 2, could stoop so low, and let such.. Rubbish be published under the Mass effect Name, and the DLC aimed at righting the wrongs done, did little of the sort. As a whole I did love the game and enjoyed it immensely, but the ending will stick in my memory like an STD every time someone mentions Mass effect in my presence. Well, you stated pretty much everything I was going to say lol. But yeah, any game which has a ending that can ruin not only itself but two other previous games with no issues truly takes the cake for me. I quiet literally could have wrote a better ending in thirty minutes while falling asleep.
Alithinos
I played 2 games in 2012 that really disappointed me,and I can't choose one out of them. I don't know if its just a coincidence but both where ported to PC from consoles. One of them was Dark Souls, and the other was Darksiders 2. I first played Dark Souls. Even with the modder's fix that fixes the resolution issues this game had,it still isn't good enough for me. Its controls on mouse and keyboard are bad,but that wasn't really a problem for me 'cause I had a xbox360 controller available. The game also suffered from frame rate issues! In a computer in which I can play Skyrim with 2048p texture packs, and lighting mods, and shader mods,or Battlefield 3 on Very High, this piece of game had worse frame rates, something unacceptable. Even without all of its technical problems though,it still wasn't good enough. Not being able to pause the game and save whenever you want where annoyances at first, but I managed to get used to them,as I approached this game knowing that it was designed to frustrate people,as it targets people who enjoy being frustrated. Anyway, I discovered that the game had some hitbox glitches. Often I would get slaughtered by enemies who where physically behind walls, and they would attack at me like they could see my exact position through the wall, and their sword would pass right through the wall and kill me. But when I tried to hit the enemy through the wall,my sword bounced back on the wall. I reported that in some forums and some players told me that this wasn't a glitch but a feature: that the game was designed in such away,so it can be even more frustrating to the players (...)I'm not really enjoying to be frustrated myself, but I approached the game knowing that I would get in to frustration, but I've reached my limits at a point. So I walked once over a log to get to another place where an item was located, and then when I walked up on the log once more to get back, suddenly my character was moved horizontially by an invisible force, and fell to his death. At that point I said to myself "I had enough of this bs" and I quit playing it. I could tolerate many other things, but this was the last drop on the glass. I reported that to forums too,and people said to me "well yes its physics aren't that good". Well if they are so bad that the game just moves my character so much he falls from the log to his death and I loose a life because of it,it isn't just "not so good",it's the worst I've ever seen. I can't tolerate so much bs. Now Darksiders 2 wasn't frustrating at all.It was just boring for me and I lost my interest after a while. The major factor for loosing my interest was that the game didn't explained me things enough. Who am I ? What's my purpose in this world ? Why am I doing everything I'm doing ? With absolutely no intro explaining things to me I immediately get the control of my character and I'm on a horse on an area I don't know, and I just move on without knowing who my character is,how did he got there, why did he got there, etc. Progressing a bit I see someone in front of me with an evil laugh. When I get close to him he disappears. The game doesn't explain me who he is either. I keep moving on and he appears 2-3 more times. Then I meet a completely different person that wants revenge from me,and by a conversation between him and my character I learn that my character's goal is to save his brother. But then that person in order to get its revenge,it calls up my brother to come and fight against me,so my brother will stop me from saving him from whatever he was into. So I end up killing my brother in order to be able to save my brother who I killed... (WTF??!) Then mysteriously my character is teleported to another area, and some dudes force him to do fetch quests for them. Why do I even have to do what they say to me ? What is my character's current goal and objective, since his brother is already dead and there is nobody to save ? In sort: the game's story was a WTF mess, and the continuous uninspired fetch quests got me boring and uninterested to keep playing this game. Its game mechanics and combos, and attack moves where pretty cool, and its puzzles engaging, but with such a messed up story and uninspired writing and repeatitive missions I got bored. On another note,my best games from this year was Dishonored,Far Cry 3 a little bit,and Primal Carnage.
