TUTORIAL: REMOVING UNWANTED MAGIC EFFECTS FROM THE PLAYER

@AxellSlade: I'll take a look at Immersive Creatures and see what I can find. You could try disabling that mod and see if the effect disappears. That would confirm if the effect is from that mod.

It didn't unfortunately, I have done the uninstall procedure per the official guide, even waiting for 31 days for cell reset after the uninstall procedure.

Immersive Creatures adds about 175 new spells, many of them to do with creature abilities (the type that can get stuck on the player). It's gonna take quite a bit of time for me to record all the IDs and test them all out (but hopefully I will).

@steve40 I tried to test them myself, but I have a big problem with the console, as I can't type composite words into the console where it needs " "(eg: "Leather Shield").

The " key on my keyboard(Brazilian ABNT2) is the same key that opens the console... So as soon as I press that key... The console closes. And I found no alternative ways to type the " on my keyboard so far.

:sigh:

Edit:

Hey steve40, you said that the effect I had wasn't caused by wisps and wispmothers, but I found that they are indeed. But my guess is that Immersive Creatures changes them?

Here are screenshots of a wispmother and some wisps surrounding her. The effect around her is exactly what I have around me and the wisp is exactly what I have under my feet.

I did 'help witchlight' in the console, which came up with 3 spells named 'witchlight abilities': 0008cdd1 0009aa46 and 02002adb and none of them removed the blasted thing from under my feet. I couldn't find the spell that creates the aura around the wispmother.

You did install the script fix right?

Edit: your wisp effect is not from Immersive Creatures. I've documented the "sticky" effects from Immersive Creatures here and I'll add screenshots soon.

It wasn't blizzard. My guess was wrong. Well,I have no clue, then. Of the DLC's,I have Dawnguard, and the only mods I have that touch spells (I think) are Skyrim Redone and the unofficial patches.

I think I've got it!

Mod: Skyrim Immersive Creatures

Frost Spriggan Matron Abilities

OOps, wrong effect. Damn, someone had a video of this one, I can't remember who.

Yes I did, I still have the modified scripts in the folder and did the addspell removespell thing for all possible magical effects that the witchlight word lists on teh console and no luck. As I said, haven't found the spell name for the Wispmother effects.

Edit: I redownloaded the scripts and put them in the scripts folder again(even though they were already there, same file size), did player.addspell 8cc8c then player.removespell 8cc8c in third person, and the MIST around me is gone. The wisp under my feet is still there. :scratches head:

I accidentally added that effect, i don't have immersive creatures and no it won't go away. It was 9aa46 and seams like it cannot go away no matter how much i try.

OK, but there are two separate spells that you have to add/remove. You only did one of them:

AbWitchLight: 8CDD1 (for the wisp under your feet)

AbWisp: 8CC8C (for the mist)
