TUTORIAL: REMOVING UNWANTED MAGIC EFFECTS FROM THE PLAYER

The very first instructions on the very first post in this thread:

 

 

Solution 1 - adding and removing Spell IDs:

 

- In third person, open the console and enter "player.addspell Spell_ID" [see below for spell_ID values]

- Close the console

- Open the console again and enter "player.removespell Spell_ID" [see below for spell_ID values]

- Close the console.

 

Try the above instructions using the appropriate Spell ID.

Um, I knew how to add spell effects and I knew how to remove them. The trick here was to first add the effect that I already had - otherwise removing it would not work.

For those who have the white Draugr eyes like I had, and the fix's did not work for you. Try getting the beast form transformation or Vampire lord if you have Dawnguard. I have read that somethings fix's the problem. Not always however.

 

It seems the white Draugr eyes that I had is a bug that has only 2 ways to be fixed. The method I just mentioned is one. While the other method that has been known to be much more successful is..well..spoilers I guess:

 

 

During Alduins bane quest, when you have the vision of the ancient Dragonborns fighting Alduin. After the sequence is finished your eyes should be fixed

Hi guys,

thank you for this thread.

 

I have a problem with the visual effect of the ancient knowledge (whips-like smoke emiting from my body). Spell ID: 0010EB60.

 

Removing the spell doesnt work and neither does the player.resurrect thingy.

 

It can be found under active effects after finishing the lexicon quest.

 

Hope you guys can help me :sad:

 

That can't be it, that spell does not have any visual effect, it simply adds the ancient knowledge perk. Don't break it!

whats the code for invisibility . . .? my character vanish like invisibility buff in solstheim when neloth cast some spell at me. . .

Hmm. I got this effect after completing the lexicon quest so I thought that was it.

I have the same b3nny85!

It started in Blackreach while the Lexicon quest!

 

I thought its a Whispmother effect but the removal method by Steve didnt work.

EDIT!!!!

 

i actually went through Steves method from post 1 again and it worked!

Not sure what i did wrong the first time around...

I quit the game and when i tried to add the spell the second time it said that it was NOT added to my character.

Then typed remove... and it worked!

 

Anyway, thanks a bunch Steve!!!!!!!!!!!

i got back my character but something wrong . . . my character now a little transparent i can see object through her @_@
