I have the same b3nny85!

It started in Blackreach while the Lexicon quest!

I thought its a Whispmother effect but the removal method by Steve didnt work.

Thanks for all the help Steve by the way!

EDIT!!!!

i actually went through Steves method from post 1 again and it worked!

Not sure what i did wrong the first time around...

I quit the game and when i tried to add the spell the second time it said that it was NOT added to my character.

Then typed remove... and it worked!

Anyway, thanks a bunch Steve!!!!!!!!!!!

So is it the spell ancient knowledge or another one?

Now that you mention Blackreach, I think it started for me there as well.

" WISP (WISPMOTHER) WHITE FOG AROUND PLAYER (VANILLA)". Second spell in post #1. You'll need to use the script fix.

I've just had an idea for those who are having difficulty identifying the effect (eg. smoke, fog etc) that is stuck on their char. Try opening the console and clicking on a tangible part of the effect (eg. the smoke, particles, etc). Sometimes it is possible to get the ID of a component of the effect. That would help in tracking down where the effect came from by looking up the ID in the CK. It might be necessary to turn on the "fly camera" first (console command "TFC 1") so that you can position your view close to the effect before you click on it with the mouse. Cheers.

*sign* Nexus has changed the IP address of their image file server. You'll have to bear with me while I fix the broken links...one by one... *sigh*

EDIT: I've now fixed the broken image links.

Hello

I noticied a strange purple smoke around my character and find this thread to discovery this is a Storm Atronach" effect. I executed on the console the command to add/remove spell and the purple glow is gone, but two "glowing purple trail" on foot of my char remains.

This a screenshot of 1st person view
