cumbrianlad
hi. Just a quick question (for once) I want to update my mod but watching a Darkfox127 video, he states that he uploads the entire mod again and marks previous versions as old. For me that's 127 MB. To my mind that takes unneccessary space up on the Nexus servers. So, is it better to do this or can I just upload the esp (without the 2 bsa files) as an update? (1.6 MB) if I do it this way will Nexus simply replace the old version of the esp with my new version? Seems neater. I haven't needed to alter any files that are in the BSAs. IsharaMeradin
Nexus will not change your archive package. If you update the ESP only and offer that as an update file, your users will need to download the main file (old esp plus bsa files) and the update file (new esp). If the esp update is not critical but you want it available should users wish, an update file is fine. If, however, it fixes a critical issue, updating the full package might be best. If concerned about space on the Nexus servers, you can always delete the old version once you've ensured that the new updated version uploads and downloads correctly. cumbrianlad
Great clarification. Full upload it is then. It includes the vital fix for the quest markers and NPC behaviour. I'll leave the other as an old file for a while.
