Rennn
Does anyone who's played it want to share their experience with it?Reviews are very mixed, but I played the demo and decided it was worth it for $10.

JimboUK
The first post of this thread is what you're in for. ^^This, it's one of the most tedious "RPGs" I've ever played.
Passb
I played a little bit of it, be prepared for extremely "cheap" AI and if you've got it for PC you'll experience horrendous controls. By cheap AI I mean you'll have cleared out an area of zombies, go to your menu to heal/equip an item/whatever and all of a sudden there will a ton of zombies that magically have found you and start to ambush. The controls were made for a console, and if you're playing on the PC you'll quickly realize they didn't take the time to optimize the controls. CommanderCrazy
What are you in for? A horrible experience. General gameplay is tedious, upgrade interface is plain stupid, Splinter Cell: Conviction had better AI, the vehicles are stiff and hard to drive, and to top it off: the hands down worst imitation Australian accent the world has ever seen. EDIT: The accent would generally be tolerable, if just about every single person didnt have it. Edited January 6, 2013 by CommanderCrazy

Rennn
I think I avoided a lot of the problems, as I installed Dead Island Helper before playing, and I decided to use a 360 controller due to the terrible pc controls. It was also waaaaaaay too easy, so I made a simple mod to make most zombies (including the heavy classes) into sprinters, and to multiply their damage about 500%. It's getting a little too easy again, even in single player, but it's much better than before. Then, the linear paths started to annoy me. I made a mod to increase jump height and mobility, and I modeled the values after Still Alive Parkour for Dead Island. Now I can go over hedges and whatnot.
