Kryztof
Does this mean that we can port stuff from oblivion to Fallout 3? :O I wanna run around in Imperial Guard Armor!"Stop! You've violated the law! Pay the Guards a fine or get shot in the kneecap! The choice is yours!"lol

Syntax1985
some stuff has been ported ( hair for example ), so i dont see why not, Although, tend to wonder why they wouldn't of done more to stop this? surely if you don't own both games then downloading a file to give u things from oblivion is breach of copyright? Yeah, see that's what I'm wondering. I guess not everyone owns oblivion, so technically they don't have the intellectual property rights to the files. I guess it's fine if i do it for my own personal enjoyment?idk. This is an odd predicament. WELLI guess it's time for me to talk to some oblivion modders about ports to fallout. If you add stuff from Oblivion but don't add the files (just tell in the readme what's needed) I'd think it'd be okay.
SpeedyB64
I don't think directing fallout to the oblivion files will work because Oblivion and Fallout use (very) different .nif versions. The only real way to get Oblivion stuff into Fallout would be to recreate the model and texture yourself. The only legal way to port stuff is to make a complete reproduction. Doedel
No, you're not allowed to use vanilla Oblivion assets in Fallout 3. I got the smackdown on the Bethsoft forums for even pondering about porting Oblivion creatures (Daedroth mutated alligator raaaaah!). Mods on the other hand are fine, again as long as no Oblivion assets are used.
Deleted269910User
There are plenty of armors and stuff that can be converted(I'd say about 10,000+ times more than what can't be converted.) from player made mods etc. as those are not Bethesdas property and no legal issues will arise if the authors give permissions. Simply stay out of the vanilla/Beth made content and everyone is happy.

Facist bastards over there at bethsoft forums.
rawritsabear
How would one go about doing this? I'm pretty pumped to fight some raiders while wearing a suit of armor.
