Who calls the Dark Brotherhood on the Dragonborn?

I got to thinking about this whole Dark Brotherhood thing and something made me think a bit when I think it may have hit me. It starts in the beginning. It's not Alduin, why would the World-Eater need the DB? He could do it himself. Its not Maven either, too late in the game.

It depends on who you go with in the beginning, Ralof the Stormcloak or Hallvar the Imperial. That's the deciding factor because remember when both were fighting and arguing about who was going to take you away from all that mess? That's your key right there where it all starts.

I don't see Hadvar doing this, 2/b honest - nor Ralof. Reason, they do not really know which side you've taken. You just went with " A ", and plus there is no real record of you yet in the game, with either Stormcloaks or Imperials.

Point: They are both neutral when you meet them, early on in the game. They are both friends, as you can buy - sell and chat with any and all of them ... until you make take the PLEDGE OF OATH. Then you become an enemy of the other.

FOR THE FUN OF IT! It's just a game.

Alduin is still my choice.

You said he could have killed me / you early on.

How so?

See, there was so much going on in Helgen and IF he could kill you, why didn't he do it at Kynesgrove and one of the other sites of resurrection?

He acknowledges that we are there, and KNOWS who we are .....

There could be the thought, that since he knows who we are, he understands from past experiences, it's best not to " go there ". The 3 that teaches Dragonrend. Burned once, shy twice, sort of thing?

It is a fun mystery.

Just like the " LETTER FROM A FRIEND ", that leads you to Dragon Walls.

I still think, it's from a Psijic Monk, as " we've been watching you ". But again, it's just my thought.

We are all "legends in our own minds" ....

Tomorrow, I think your missing the point. It's not the guys like Hadvar or Ralof that would do it, it's the direction you take that kicks it into gear. If you go for one side, the other side will kick it in, but not the guys you were with in the beginning. It's how it plays out, is how it gets kicked into play. But, if you don't go for either side, it still happens the same. Now here is what I found interesting. If you were to play further into the game and decided to end the DB, down the road you actually get attacked by DB assassins. I know, I tried that a couple times.

Now the thought of a Psyjiic monk I'm not too sure about. How could they be sending the DB after the player? Mmm, food for thought. Now I can see the Psyjiic monk as the "letter from a friend" kind of thing, due to the fact that you meet them while in Saarthal. That's why I love Skyrim, so many different possibilities, so many ways to end the game....If you end the game. I'm still playing a chacter from beginning of 2014?

Dang that's been a while.

No, you missed my point there. I said:

In other words - A Psijic Monk - is the " LETTER FROM A FRIEND ", that is sending you to the Dragon Walls.

Hey there!

I was wondering the same thing and i think it's someone within the blackbriar clan.

Not Maven Blackbriar she is more subtle than that, but perhaps the son he seems wicked.Sibbi i believe he's called. He's into stealing,double-crossing,murder,and according to his sister he had a troubled past.

Also the blackbriar lodge has a locked room that has all ingredients to perform the black sacrement.

Personally, since I always go back and get the juniper mead in helgen after escaping, I think its Vilod.

Yeah, that's using OOC knowledge though. We're trying to come up with who send them after you while staying within the confines of the game.

hence the added line. Vilod survives Alduin's attack. And if you return to Helgen soon enough there are still the bottles of Juniper Mead he makes, that Ralof mentioned while you were on the wagon, scattered on the second floor of his house.

You steal his special blend of mead, leaving none for him after a dragon attack, which is just when a nord needs it most, and of course he's going to sic the Dark Brotherhood on you. As the journal in the Embershard Mine says: "what good is a Nord without his mead?"

I honestly don't think it's Delphine due to the fact she has never run across a Dragonborn before and has never known how to act around them. She never knew the power of a Thu'um until you shouted at Kynesgrove. She nay think she knows, but she believes its more the Thalmor than anyone. Besides that may come later in the game because I have been attacked by DB assassins on my way back from Bleaks Temple getting the gold claw for Lucan and Victoria.

Then it wasnt me shooting him.

"Did that hit your head? Sorry. I was aiming for your crotch."

So when Ralof says, "I used to be sweet on a girl named Vilod here in Helgen who made a mead with juniper berries." That's what makes this weird.

The blacksmith for you having lack of interest in her?

Fendal for you doing his quest, then doing cami at every opportunity till the girl was totally in love?

Your followers for making them run around naked or half in public, maybe vilja?

The jarl of whiterun because of (penis envy) and your penchant for darkelves?

Varonica because you picked her daughter instead of her?

Cercio for fun to see what would happen?

A fanatical new age feminist?

Delphine's creepy crush gone wrong, with countless little pictures of you in her hidey hole room, with things drawn on them or cut out in between playing ''blades'' with the old man to humor her?

Enough with the comedy.

............................................................................................................

Truthfully maybe the old dragonborn, before he bothered to risk a vulgar assault in a city, sent went one of his cultist to the dark brotherhood,...my best guess.

He dose strike me as a thinking man, it could have even been a test of sorts. Out of curiosity.
