Request: NMM Download Button Controls

I looked back thru several pages of requests and didn't see anything. This isn't exactly NMM it's more part of the site tho it does connect with NMM. Since it is not about the NMM program itself, I am posting it here. If the is the wrong location, Moderators please move it as necessary.

 

Situation:

Mod is large and takes a long time to upload. Perhaps connection is poor and gets disrupted causing the entire upload to fail. Therefore the Mod is broken up into multiple files to ensure that the content does get uploaded.

 

Problem:

User comes along and reads the short description and presses "Download with Manager" button. This button only downloads the first file in the Main category. User comes around and complains of problems etc...

 

Requested Solution:

Option 1: Mod author is given ability to turn off or on as needed the "Download with Manager" button and still retain NMM download functionality per individual file.

Option 2: Nexus automtically disables the "Download with Manager" button whenever two or more files are present in the Main category.

 

I personally would prefer the second option as it would be automatic and would be retroactive with existing mods that have been basically abandoned but still being used.

How does someone manage not to notice if there is more than one main file?

I ask because this seems something that's more the user's responsibility. Not the site's.

Because they don't look. And yes it is the users responsibility to look.

 

I'm requesting because such a feature could cut down on the number of reports that just get in the way of real troubleshooting and problem solving.
