lolz12354 Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 When I start the dreaded updater it patches all the way to 100% then stops responding opens the game and a cmd prompt the command prompt name is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CMD.exe the game runs and the cmd prompt but when I close the game the patcher starts responding for a milisecond and I can clearly see the bottem update bar is red and 100% so it should have installed thats what I thought at first but when I ran FOSE Loader it said I did not have the latest version (1.7) I clicked ok and it exited. :wallbash: NOTHING I have tried works I even installed Games for windows THE LATEST VERSION! still that does not worksombody pls help :confused: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Alithinos Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Games For Windows Live is the most worthless piece of software ever developed.It is buggy since it came out,and not functionaln,and it might even be the reason of your problem.I think there was a mod here in the Nexus that allows you to run Fallout 3 without having GFWL. Try it out.Other than that I'm sorry but I can't help you,because I bought the GOTY version of the game that already included the latest patch. :( p.s. The bad thing is that even with the game being fully patched,it still crashes when you don't expect it.
