Huge lag east of Whiterun

I searched forum, but didn't find similar problem. If I somehow missed it, I'm sorry.

 

Ok, so as the title says, I'm on a side mission where I have to go east of Whiterun to some towers an kill a bandit leader. But, when I'm approaching that hill in the east, the game starts to lag tremendously, the more I'm close to that area, the more it lags. Tried to go around, same thing, btw it's quite big area affected with lag. There isn't much detail in that area to cause that lag. When I was playing with previous character, I didn't go that way, but everywhere else the game worked fine. I have my fps capped at 30 frames which is fine for me.

 

My spec:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz

GPU: 9600M GT 512 MB

Motherboard: Intel PM45+ICH9M

RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800

HDD: 320 GB

 

I have the latest patch. I really don't have problems with performance, except in that area. Help would be appreciated.

It might help if you posted your mods in their loading order.

 

I would have thought it might be the grass, which gave me trouble with my 9800 GT until I made some changes, but if it is not a problem throughout the tundra area, it seems to me that it may be a modification.

Yes, it's a quite a list of mods, but as I said, it works fine everywhere else. I do use some texture replacers, but none of which increases resolution on large scale. Btw, thanks for the quick reply. :)
