Trouble Installing SKSE for Special Edition

Hello all I am having trouble getting SKSE installed for Special Edition. Here are the steps I took

 

-extracted the .exe and 2 .dll files into the Skyrim data folder

 

-extracted all the .pex to the Data/Scripts folder

 

- ran the skse64_loader

 

 

Here are some Screenshots of the folders.

 

When I load into Special Edition, I also make sure to go into the mods menu and enable SkyUI(the mod I am trying to run with SKSE). However, in the Quest menu screen where it normally shows SKSE version## on the bottom left, I do not see it.

 

Let me know if I can provide any other helpful information.

They should be extracted to the directory where SkyrimSE.exe is located, not the data folder.

The 3rd screenshot shows the Skyrim SE game folder, with SkyrimSE.exe

So your path for the scripts is

Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Scripts\ and this is where you extracted all the *.pex files?

so... Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Scripts\ *.pex files

Or did you accidentally do this

Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Scripts\Data\Scripts\ *.pex files

or

Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Scripts\Scripts\ *.pex files

It shows up on the SYSTEM tab of that menu, not the Quest tab.
