skyrim broken skse related

so a few days ago i decided to try out skse.

 

game worked perfectly fine with zero issues.

 

after putting the skse files into the folder it stopped working.

 

-the game opens in a small window at the top left corner and crashes when it gets to the main menu.

-starting skyrim normally via steam same thing crashes after the bethesda logo in a small sreen

-used a backup of my skyrim folder same thing

-apparently skse should make a logfile in the my games skyrim but that never happend either

i downloaded skse from here: http://skse.silverlock.org/ the link given in all the mods using skse

 

now here is the thing that is the reason why i made this topic

 

COMPLETE REINSTALL: uninstalled the game using the original disk, deleted the skyrim folder, deleted the skyrim folder in my games. so skyrim was completely removed from my pc. installed it again with the disk let it patch. now its patched but STILL it opens in small window in the top left corner and crashes when it gets to the main menu...

 

i really am out of ideas...

 

i just want to have skyrim working again ;(

I believe there is data regarding Skyrim/Modes held in C:\Users\users-name\AppData\Local\Skyrim. if App folder doesn't show up, you'll need to change the settings to 'show hidden files/folders'

I have the exact same problem. I've tried running with and without SKSE and the game does exactly as you say it does, it crashes once it gets to the main menu. I have no idea what to do right now.

SKSE rarely causes problems. However mods that use SKSE do. If you have a mod that requires SKSE, and SKSE is NOT installed. It is likely that the mod author included a check to see if SKSE was installed - and as it wasn't, never starts and cannot cause a problem. By installing SKSE, the mod now sees that SKSE is installed and tries to start - and there is a problem - possibly a compatibility with another mod - and then crashes.

 

There have also been reports that some pirate versions crash when you try to use SKSE. This is not an SKSE problem but a pirate problem. :whistling:

thought i would bump this again. maybe someone with the same issue found a way to fix it.

 

if i could just reformat the entire pc i would have already done this but unfortunately at the moment is is no option.

 

 

 

pretty sad when a moderator suspects someone to be a pirate when it is clearly stated that i used the original disk i bought on the 11.11.2011

before formating your PC for a video game^^ which version of skyrim do you have ?

V1.9.32 need Skse 1.6.13

it must work

edit: the good thing with a legal copy is you can verify your game cache with steam

ye did that multiple times already. game is up to date no mods installed currently. gonna try installing skse again later today maybe it fixes it.

 

 

edit: same thing, using the skse loader after properly installing skse. game starts in a small window in the top left corner and closes after the bethesda logo without any error message. (the little steam community ingame thing pops up normally) when continue new game etc should appear it closes

Okay Fixed it.

 

 

 

my enb wasn't compatable with my graphics card. - gtx 660

 

So delete it and test, then try another. If this happened without any mods or enb. Sorry bud. Try uninstallign any graphic improvements or anything. Say like, the geforce experience.
