Crash after Character Creation.

After spending nearly 12 hours trying to get all my old mods to work I've pretty much accepted that the game will crash everytime I select "Yes" when I am asked if this is who I want to be my character during the birth scene.

 

Here is my load order. a lot of these mods don't like to play nice with one another, but that hasn't been a problem for me before. Underground Hideout has always worked for me before. Any help woulld be apprieciated.

The game was running fine, even ALC was working fine. I will probably disable it until it's ready.

For me it was Fallout Creation Overhaul - Races.

One thing to remember, Fallout 3 was developed before any mods were made. Therefore, there will probably be some crashes or freezing during the opening scenes. I had a problem with the game freezing at the birth scene. I finally realized the fact that there might be a problem with my mods. When I disabled everything except Fallout3.esm, I was able to complete everything. Just before the birthday party, I made a save and then activated the mods I would need to continue.

 

Just before I exited the entrance tunnel, I made another save and activated the DLCs and the rest of my mods and proceeded to exit the tunnel to the wasteland.

You are absolutely correct. However, I had to reinstall the game after having my hard drive wiped and the OS reinstalled. After I had everything set up as it was before the reinstall, I tried to play the game and could not get past the birth scene. After about the fifth time the game froze, I realized that all the mods that I had working before were added after I exited the vault. When I disabled all my mods, I was able to continue to character creation and the tutorial.

 

There are a lot of new people that are just now buying the game and thinking that they can load it up with mods. They don't think that there might be a problem getting through the opening scenes with all the mods.
