SteelRat1962
Hello All, I'm trying to retexture some of the vanilla stuff for my own use, and am having some trouble. Some texture files have multiple image areas in them, which are used by different meshes. For example, MagazineBurnt_d.dds has 6 areas in it, which are used by different meshes; ComicBurnt01, 02, and 03. I want to create some more of these comics, but how do I tell which section of the dds the mesh is going to use? Hope that makes sense. Thanks! Zorkaz
Open up the object in the CK, click on "Model/Edit" and then you can play around with material swaps for the object. Just don't save it
SteelRat1962
Not sure that gets me where I need to be. The ComicBurnt mesh doesn't have any material swaps. I guess my question should be, how can I create a material swap using a different image in the matrix?
pepperman35
Nifskope should allow you to look at the UV mapping.
SteelRat1962
I'm not very conversant in Nifskope. Can you point me in the right direction?

SteelRat1962
Thanks Pepperman, but those videos aren't getting me there either.
SteelRat1962
I did find another video that shows how to view UVs in Nifskope, but something is different. The video is for Skyrim (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1u51yDEGzmQ), and shows NiTrishape nodes, but in the FO4 nifs, all I see are BsTrishapes, and I have no UV options when I right-click. pepperman35
In the Nifskope rendor window, when you select the object the mess should get highlighted, maybe in green lines. When you right click you should get a small window to appear to appear which has a number of options one of which is textures. Under textures you should see two options, edit UV and export template. SteelRat1962
As i mentioned above, there is no Texture option when selecting a mesh and right clicking it. I'm using Nifscope 2.0.0 pre beta 4, which I think is newer than some of the videos show.
