DaemonGrin
Just curious how people are making new radio stations with new music without the licenses? Also I was thinking of making a mod involving the Mothership Zeta content like part of the space craft you blow up crashes in the mojave somewhere. How hard is it to import FO3 meshes, textures, sound files, scripts etc to new vegas? Thanks!
TrickyVein
Check out archive.org. There's a great wealth of music in the public domain, especially older songs which fit Fallout's aesthetic. While it's more than possible to use content from Fallout 3 in New Vegas, (indeed most of the assets in NV are from Fallout 3) it is not legal to do so and then release it here on the nexus as a mod or otherwise. Oh wow figured since both were by bethesda it would be ok especially after seeing the sticky'd post about importing FO3 hats into FNV. Thanks for the link! gonna check it out now. TrickyVein
You can do it for yourself of course if you own both games. Get NifSkope and change the parent directories of your .nifs - read about it here.

I was checking out the archive site and I gotta be sure to go through these carefully. Found a collection with LMFAO, Deadmaus etc songs in it >< Thanks! Are Mothership Zeta meshes, etc already in FNV? Seen a couple mods for FNV using the alien containers? I can't seem to locate them in the geck though. Xaranth
A very few are actually used in the GECK, but I think a lot of them are in the actual game archives. Start digging through Fallout - Meshes.bsa. Filtering DLC05 with FOMM's BSA browser in Fallout - Meshes shows me there's a metric crapton of MZ stuff there. Thanks for the reply shortly after asking I did a quick nexus search and found this awesome mod http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41567 which restores the content found in the archives. As long as they are in the FNV archives it's ok to release a mod with those pieces in it then yes?
Xaranth
Correct... Uhm, sort of. You're free to use those pieces to build your mod. You may not REDISTRIBUTE the (unmodified) meshes.

Sorry for asking so much I'm new to the modding scene just want to make sure I understand. I make a mod using the Zeta archived meshes, etc in FNV and I upload it to nexus as long as my mod doesn't contain any of the meshes, textures, etc in a folder and only referenced in the esp or esm everything is copacetic? basically the only files I could include involving the zeta archived content with my hypothetical mod are re-textures?
