Best Fallout 3 Mods released to date

vashs guns, brupos guns, all of my mods, followers hire thing and crossrepairs...

im also looking foward to growlf and malos clothing mods to make my personalize clover look even better tongue.gif

This is what I usually look for when I`m finding mods. I`ll have to check out Vash's and brupo's guns, they don't interfere at all?

 

I`m using the Fallout 3 Balance Overhaul, I found to be the best rework of the game mechanics. Since you can vary the rate of most of the mods. I`m also using Robco Certified, Muti, Mrlabtechnician, ItemDescriptions, and as many hires textures I can find.

I want some of the work cut out for me so lets make this a team effort. What mods have you tryed? Here's a list of some recommendations that work and have no conflicts with each other...

 

Amplified Crippled Effects 020.esp - Death Claw is still a challenge, its just nice to be rewarded for shooting the right body parts

Cross Repair Weapons - Scrap Metal is now very useful and it makes game more realistic

 

No companion Karma checks v1a.esp -

AND

FollowersHire -

AND

RoBco certified - repair destroyed robots, simple follow and wait functions. fast travel approved,

*use all 3, get your squad and move out on "Very Hard" game settings. also I'm about to add the MMMFo increased respawns, my squad consists of jerico, star palidin, clover, and two projectrons, not much but we put up a fight!

 

HouseExpansion - got alot of caps?

 

Big Town Relocation - want to live in big town?

 

all these mods work together and arent cheating in my opinion. I just downloaded 7-10 mods today and havent tryed them yet. And someone get that FEV subject in the game, he's big and i found him in the geck, but game crashes when i add him to megaton, probably cas he has no animations?

Quest Mods:

sc Saving Nova.esp-small speech quest

otherwise none worth dling to my knowledge, 60-100 mods uploaded daily, so keep checking.

 

Everyone keep your eye on Enclave Commander AND Enclave mod, they need to make babies, and its posted in the description that they are working on it. When this happens, well nothing surpasses Martigen and Oscuro. Unless they let these enclave modders continue to take the lead in fallout modding!

 

---Alternate Start- This is the mod for you!

 

Pro's : well, it's nice to have different ally's and enemy's on the battlefield, be a talon merc and join the fight at the capitol

Con's: Main quest dialogue still there, annoying to see the option "have you seen my dad?" when your a raider, not compadible with Free Place if you choose to be a raider, cas youll get shot at. (i only chose raider faction, you can be regulator , talon, outcast, etc. 18-20 choices or vault dweller for main quest)

*you cannot be super mutant, or enclave, or a death claw

 

---suite suite.esp- Tenpenny house suite extended to what it should be , not that small apartment they give you

 

---FreeBuildingv0.5.esp- Quest/New Location/New Town Mod

 

Pro's: I dont know I got shot down when I got there, they dont like raiders, (I use Alternate Start)

Con's: this "town" is one building. I havent been inside so judge for yourself.

 

---LilCrittersNG.esp - can't wait for martigen's next major release? get this to settle your crave for now

 

---Death Canyon - New Location, fight raiders

Pro: I dont know havent been there lol.

Con: unless updated and fixed, companion glitiches

 

---Unleveled lists - start game regular, at lvl 1, but all spawns unlocked, so deathclaws come for you at start

cons: i come across a death claw 1/2 the time, gets old, I prefere rarity, of the giant scorpian aswell,

 

note to martigen if he's reading this:

the bigger they are should mean the rarer even if lvl20, just make them scary and hard, but with a secret weakness. vats is a cheater tool IF you make head shots 200% damage thus in fallout its piontless to do that, so I say limit vats aswell

---Mika the sniper - shes just another companion but she doesn't conflict with mods, thus an easy addition to the game, not so valueable that you would load save every time she dies, if she dies its ok, she's just mika.

Ah, I'm touched that my mod was mentioned, thankee thankee! But just to clarify the name is Alternate Start - Roleplayers. There's another out there called Alternate Start. Not mine.

 

As for some of my own recommendations:

 

Cross repair armor and weapons

Malos body (can't wait for the armor to come out for these)

MTUI (not really a mod, but still good)

Xodarp's Fallout Balance Overhaul (best overhaul in my opinion, though I haven't tested Martigen's)

*Wasteland Mercenaries-

Hire desposible mercenaries (pair of 2) for 650 caps/ randomized and fitted ware based on location you get them from.

Well I've been playing F3 since it released. Don't do a lot of posting here, but I do try a lot of mods.

 

Some of my all time favorites.

 

Xrepair for sure, if I managed to load F3 without this one I exit and restart.

 

Better Regulator Duster, I use the mid level armor, but its nice to be able to wear the duster and have some armor.

 

 

 

 

 

The Hideout (near megaton) Nicely done mod, love the teleports from the vault. Just wish it was nav meshed.

(Got Charon stuck in there and can't get him out) (I know, my mistake taking him in there)

 

Canterbury Hideout, I use the earlier version. The latest release caused some issues with half of Canterbury missing, buildings gone, street, missing, etc. Very handy spot for a nice hideout.

 

Ulrik's 50 cal sniper rifle mod and ammo mod. Just wish I could find a bit more ammo for this one.

 

Civil Defense Radio Bit hats off, nicely done.

 

Lawbringer bountys, awesome job, adds tons to F3 experience IMO.

 

 

Regulator Hq, very nicely done mod with lots of small touch's that are very handy.

Just little things that add to the immersion.

 

If you like energy weapons I highly recommend

Skullmoshe's energy weapons mod I'm not using with this character at all, but I do love it.

Exploding paradise, love the plasma launcher that shoots big balls of plasma that explode.

Echo battery charger, which lets you turn fission batterys or Ecells into MF cells.

Awesome little mod for anyone who likes high tech.

 

And to finish, a nod to SP_Fallin, for adding coke, and lays potato chips to the otherwise bland diet.

Nice to have some variety. This is one of those mods that doesn't seem to do a lot. But really adds to immersion and enjoyment with the details it adds.
