sleepyto
What does it take to gain the ability to make deadly poisons? I have all the alchemy perks, but I can't find a way to make any of the deadly poisons.Any ideas.

Dubnoman
The River Betty is your friend. Here, install this mod so that alchemy shops carry more River Betties: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14476. River Betty plus Mora Tapinella is a good combination. I forgot the combo. Those two plus a third ingredient make a killer combo. But I forgot the combination of ingredients. Try Imp Stool, River Betty, and Mora Tapinella mixed together. Zalman1337
One of the most lethal poisons you can mass produce (if you have Hearthfire and a Fish Hatchery and Garden/Greenhouse) is Imp Stool + Mora Tapinella + River Betty. It can do up to 162 poison damage instantly and an additional 32 poison damage per second for 10 seconds. If you substitute Crimson Nirnroot for the River Betty, it could do up to 194 poison damage instantly (and it would still have the up to 320 poison damage over time effect). Paralysis poison can also come in handy, such as Canis Root + Imp Stool + River Betty, which can do up to 162 poison damage instantly and paralyze for up to 32 seconds. Alternatively, there's Canis Root + Imp Stool + Mora Tapinella which would still paralyze for up to 32 seconds but do up to 32 poison damage per second for 10 seconds instead of instant damage. The way to maximize your poison damage is to get 100 Alchemy, 5/5 Alchemist, Poisoner and 100 Enchanting. You can enchant 4 pieces of gear with up to 29% Fortify Alchemy each (without cheats, exploits or glitches). Equip your Fortify Alchemy gear set when you make poisons to make them as powerful as possible. Edited January 22, 2013 by Zalman1337

sleepyto
Those worked pretty good, however what I am looking for is a Poison Called Deadly Lingering Poison. It is in Stonegarden in the alchemy area. It also has a pretty nice bottle that it is in. Anyway when I go to the Alchemy Station this poison does not show up as a available poison to make. Does anyone know where this poison comes from and how I can get it added to the list of available poisons?
Zalman1337
The effect is simply Lingering Damage Health, which can be learned when you combine any two of the following: Imp Stool, Mora Tapinella, Orange Dartwing, Slaughterfish Egg or Slaughterfish Scales. The magnitude of the effect depends on your Alchemy skill, relevant perks and any Fortify Alchemy gear you have equipped when you make it. Don't worry about what the end result is named because it will only be named after one effect, even if it has multiple effects like the recipes I already listed. Edit: Basically, there are a lot of existing potions and poisons in the game that you can't recreate exactly (at least not in appearance). Most of the time you can exceed or at least match the magnitude of its effects. I have yet to find a potion or poison in game that's better than one I can create (with the exception of Ultimate Health/Stamina/Magicka). Also, I checked the "Deadly Lingering Poison", which only does 3 points of poison damage for 20 seconds (for a maximum of 60). Even if you only had 100 Alchemy and the relevant perks (without Enchanting or any Fortify Alchemy Gear), you could make Lingering Damage Poison that would do 15 points of damage per second for 10 seconds (for a maximum of 150). sleepyto
Thanks for all the info. My objective is to get Deadly Lingering Poison in my list of poisons I can make understanding that it is not the strongest. I want to use the bottles for aesthetic purposes. If they are in the game data base how do I get to them?
Zalman1337
You can't get Deadly Lingering Poison in your list of Poisons you can create because you can only learn certain base effects, such as Damage Health, Lingering Damage Health or Ravage Health. There are no guaranteed locations for Deadly Lingering Poison, but you could give yourself some with the console. player.additem 73f38
